Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep this thing from sliding all over the friggin place? Try and keep it simple, I haven't been one to fool with settings before.

Seriously, I want to see if I can use it, I might be tempted to buy some unstoppable beast too early if I sell it. Any suggestions? Or is it that bad?

just use manual gears. basically, it has so much torque that you don't need anything else than third gear, and no need to mod it. I won easy/normal special condition races with this car, until I got Ford RS200 rally car.

i honestly have no idea what you mean here, i found the rsc rally raid to be an awesomely manouverable car. you do need to slow down a fair bit to get it to turn, not because it's a crap car, just because it can go so stupidly fast and get there so quickly, as with any car with 417hp and tight gearing would

i am however, doing capri rally over and over when i need dollars, i've found selling this one is the quickest way to get bulk cash so far. you do know you can do the single event races over and win the prize car again, yes?

Ya, I know you can redo races (done it already, sold my Autobianchi, whoops). If you can just keep it in third then that'll do, I use AT, but it sounds as if you don't really need to change gears. Or were you exaggerating?

I have not spent much time with the suspension set up yet, so I just kept it on default, but I noticed that the handling improves when you change the power distribution from 25/75 to 40/60, giving the front end more bit. It also seems to help to turn off all the driving aids, including traction control.

Other than that, it is mostly a matter of driving it correctly. Most corners are 2nd or 3rd gear, but sometimes you will have to switch down to 1st or up to 4th. The lag is not nearly as bad as on the Escudo, but you will still have to pay attention to keeping the RPM in the right range. Slow down ehough for the turns and keep a tight line, and it will handle better and corner faster than you expect.

Hmmm.....sounds like I better learn to use manual transmission....but it'll help me get better, so sure! 👍

The MT is a breeze to learn. Getting the rally cars to handle right using your driving style is also a learning process, and sometimes it will seem like you are going too slow in your attempt to maintain control, but as you focus more on driving correctly rather than as fast as possible the speed will come to you on its own. It is amazing what a difference longer breaking distances and more careful throttle control can do.

Super Jamie

I haven't tried winning the car again...... do you need to win both legs of the Capri Rally to win the car again or just one?

i used this car for all the rally races. I quite like it, but cant complete the race (that u win the Suzuki Escudo) on HARD level. Which car should i use for it? it is against the mitsubishi rally car...

After having tried the Subaru, Toyota, Lancia (Delta S4), and the Mitsubishi (Super Rally Car) for the various races, for me the Mitsubishi turned out to work best. I was stuck on Grand Canyon Hard, and only that car managed to win the race for me.

The car doesnt suck.
Why you think its worth so much?
Its completely insane, big mean fast as hell RAID car. Only other RAID cars you get are at the end in the last 2 hard races. If this was online I would challenge anyone in an escudo and dominate em with this thing.
Poor drivers need not apply, this is a big boys toy.
One of the baddest cars in the game and so easy to get too, makes all the rest of the rally's so simple.

i'd smoke you in an imprezza prototype '01.

When I first started the rallies I hated them all and hated every car I used on them.

Now every car I have tried I have had success with even on the snow tracks which I initially found hardest.

1. As said before get the front wheels to do more of the work. Around 40% is what I use.
2. Set brake balance to the rear. If you use the front to drive more then you may need to brake to get the back end around.
3. Note that you only get penalties if the front end of the car hits something. If you need a driving style to suit easy and normal then allow the back to slide a little too much rather than not enough.
4. If your front wheels have been set to do more of the work then you need to fight your natural instincts - when you want to brake don't - instead turn the front wheels to where you want to go and plant your foot.

edit: at this stage I am making the most of an unmodified Impreza Rally car prototype but I suspect I will need to modify it or use the Raid car (which I have used to win races) for the harder races.
