Are there any remaining reserve spots? I can make the March 25th race at the Glen.
At this rate, between people who have dropped out from the main list and reserves being exactly that, you're welcome to sign up. We have yet to fill a lobby so leaving people out has yet to be an issue.

I'll prepare a car. Looking forward to it.

Is it possible this series will have a season 2?

Here is my entry form.

GTP name - Clean Racer
PSN name - GentlemanRacing
Race number - 19
Car selection - Porsche 911 Carrera RS Club Sport

Points have been updated. As the drivers' championship scores only the best 7 of 8 total races, I have started denoting races that would currently be dropped as the lowest score and the point totals now reflects that dropped score, with the corrected score first. On that note, 13 points separate the top 3 in the drivers' title, while only 21 points separate the manufacturers' top three.

But I want to thank everyone for the turnout, that was our highest of the season, and we even had everyone still running at the finish. I had a great early battle with Armaco and Fausto, then spun myself and spent almost 30 minutes going at it with Fausto again. Sorry for the bumps, I'm still adjusting to new load cell pedals so I'm still trying to get the feel for them. Watching the replay it also looked like a great fight in the middle of the pack. Unfortunately, Sainte-Croix did not treat the NSXs and other Porsches very well, but I knew this was going to be a challenging track for everyone.

On to the American rounds, much better flows at Watkins Glen and Laguna Seca.

First half of the race was rough, thought I was destined to finish 9th, but eventually sort of figured out how to drive the track after the pit stop, could run in the 2:11s consistently and my potential lap was a 2:10.5 somehow even though I never got there. My tires also lasted a lot better the second stint since I was sliding less. Content to finish 6th I guess even though I lost a lot of points. Super exhausting race.

Looking forward to Watkins Glen but feel like the Lamborghini is going to struggle at Laguna Seca

Well that race was terrifying, but also a lot of fun as the NSX is very much an unruly beast. I'm not the most competent of drivers at the best of times, but it was one of, if not the hardest car I've driven in a GT game!

If nothing else, myself and @MaxAttack were majestic in our D1GP-esque tandem drift displays at times . But we had a fun battle of our own I'd say, that went right down to wire. I had to 2 stop in the end, as my tyre management is always poor. Did my best to chase down Max, who did well to hold onto the car with no rears left, but couldn't quite catch him. Something like 0.5s between us in the end.

Despite the difficulty I still enjoyed it, and am more than happy to turn up for the last 2 races if need be .

@Armaco @DarkCobra6114 @RacingGrandpa @Xradkins @bloodyboyblue @Spinerkopin @FaustoAriz @Kermit_2142 @Michelin Man @Clean Racer @Drex124

Just a heads up for those of you outside North America, we changed our clocks for Daylight Savings Time, so the race time may be a bit different for you. The lobby should be opening in approximately 5 hours from now.

Further, due to the layout of the chicane at Watkins Glen, the kerbs are very large. All four tires must remain within the track/kerbing through the chicane only, no using the grass. Elsewhere on the track, two tires must be in.

Apologies for the super late delay in updating the points standings after Watkins Glen, I got distracted and then was away on business for a few days.

The championship has come down to @Spinerkopin , @bloodyboyblue , and myself, with only ten points between us. A victory will likely seal the deal, but pole position and fast laps will also decide the final standings. The teams are also tight, between the Donut Racing Corvettes and me, with four points separating us. And finally, Lamborghini and Dodge only have two points between them in the Manufacturer's standings.

Also, please continue to be aware that Daylights Savings Time may still affect some of you when it comes to the start time. Please check to be sure so you don't miss the finale.

Sorry I cannot be there tonight.
It’s been a great series and I have thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgia and challenge these cars have brought with them.
Thanks for hosting @The359 and thanks to everyone else for the great racing.
Good luck for the final race and I look forward to the next one :gtplanet:

The final points standings have been posted. Congratulations to @Spinerkopin for dominating the second half of the season and taking the championship for himself and Dodge in the manufacturers' standings.

And thank you for everyone coming out, we had a wide variety of people throughout the season, 23 total drivers over the 8 races (not including Spa) meant each race was a different challenge, but an extra big thanks to those that stuck it out through most of the season. This was my first full series run on GTP so hopefully everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. It is a project I have been working on since GT7 came out and I saw potential in the car list.

I do plan to try and make a second season of this, or at least some more one-off endurance races in the future. I already have a few points that I plan to change to make the series better:
  • Alter the BOP, especially to balance out aerodynamic potential on the cars by adding or removing certain aero parts, even if they are not aesthetically pleasing or accurate.
  • Look into adding the GT1 class, either with the Gr2 race cars or by building on the 90's supercars already in the game.
  • Removing the Team Championship as it really did not pan out as I had planned.
  • More races with potential weather in them.

I am more than welcome to any suggestions from the rest of you since this series is just as much about your fun as it is mine.

I really enjoyed the last 3 races I was able to turn up for. It's unfortunate that I was unable to commit to the full championship like I planned initially, as it looked like (and turned out to be) a really good series. Especially when one considers the amount of tuning and balancing it required to turn road cars into race cars, so fair play.

The NSX started off as near impossible to drive at St Croix when I re-joined this series. But thanks to some tuning and valuable help from @RacingGrandpa, it's driveability has improved massively. Laguna was a bit of a poor performance by me, I'm consistently trash around there it seems . Couldn't avoid those sausage kerbs on a number of occasions, and took a while to establish a rythm. A shame, as the pace was there it seems, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. But a vast improvement between there and The Glen though.

Overall, congrats to all and @Spinerkopin on the title. Truly in a league of your own. Would certainly be interested with what happens with this going forward
