Welcome to this short time pop-up racing series!

We begin at 2100 GMT/2200 BST Friday the 4th of August!!

What do we do? We race for clean race fun!

What do we race? The new Honda RA272 '65 F1!
And to mimic the feel of yesterday's formula cars we race on SS tyres.

Where do we race it? We start out at St Croix, layout to be decided.

After that we'll see.

No need to sign up, just grab the car in Legendary Car Dealership, buy some Street Soft tyres, find a livery and send me a friend request at PSN Resident_Knievel

Then come along and have fun!

Grand Valley has also been the only track I've been running the last few days, this revamp as given it a new lease of life and it's quickly becoming one of my favourite tracks on GT7. Ran many laps around the South circuit, testing the RA272 on various tyres from SH to SS. Very fun!

We run the full course tonight, mainly because most people practiced that for manu so they know it.
The next time we might run the short

Nice proposal, I like it and I'd like to join, but I think I'm good enough and don't want to jeopardise others race.

Just out of curiosity: is it worldwide and cross platform?

Yes, world wide and cross platform..and we usually have players at almost all levels so there someone for everyone to race.
So come along if you like!
 
t-minus 4 minutes til Race 1, it looks like. looking forward to racing against some GTP folks

edit: i made it nearly 3 whole races without causing a debacle. took one of the turns in atlanta in too low of a gear on the final lap, saw that the trailing car had gone off the track, probably/maybe to avoid me. this brought a third car in. i tried to get to the far left to let whoever i messed up go around, and then i noticed the other car (and a fourth) had politely waited for me to make my turn inside. finally i just drove off the side and watched the "Last Lap 4 Car Battle Royale" i accidentally caused. everyone is so good and is able to patch together consistent lap times - all three races everyone was super close together at the end.

Where do we race it? We start out at Grand Valley with 5 laps, then we visit Watkins Glenn Short, then Road Atlanta.
A quick jump across the pond brings us to Goodwood, then we visit continental Europe for a few laps of Nürburgring Nordschleife and Spa.

After that we'll see.

Omg that sounds so fun! Can't tonight, but how often do you guys meet / do events like this?
 
I took just a quick run, to get the flavor.
It was on road Atlanta short. Know the track, don't know at all the car. I felt i was latifing too much and left.

Hope i didn't upset the good people who organized the event and the guys in the track

I'll join again in the future and be more prepared.

@RacingGrandpa Cheers for organising, that was an absolute blast! Enjoyed every race, and the racing was superb along the way :cheers:. Such a sweet car to drive on Sports Softs, can really throw it about.

Shout-outs to @GOTMAXPOWER, @The359, and @Spider-Racer for some especially close battles at various points. Really enjoyed it, so cheers to everybody :D.

I hope we didn't scare the new runners, it was a very TPC event, going 3 wide through Eau Rouge and all the way down the Nordschleife straight.

It did prove a succes though so it will definitely happen soon again.

Now I wish for more F1 cars without downforce

that was soooo much fun... i was a little mentally fatigued / annoyed with myself after the third race but i couldn't stay away from Spa.

hopefully i didn't get in too many people's way - the RA272 at 230hp / sport softs made for a really fun drive... i'm just afraid i don't know these courses like all of you! but the three wide on the straights, 5 cars going into the same corners, such a blast. next time i'll give it a little bit more prep.

i saved some photos / one of the race videos under #TPCinvitational / #gtplanet, for what its worth.

Send a friend request for the one hosting (,likely me and we're friends now) then when the time comes go to lobbies/lobbies with a friend and it's named TPC Invtational.

There's a party open when we run, open for friends and friends of friends. Feel free to join in and say hi.

And remember that while F1 in the seventies was about winning it was also about flair, cool and style. So race clean
