TPRA would like to know

The TPRA is looking at starting up a western division. It seems that the eastern start time is too early for some. So we would like to know if we started a western division, would you join in the fun?

it'd be late as hell for me (on the east coast) but i probably would, Kart. i've got either gigs, or rehersals, or studio sessions constantly on TPRA nights and usually don't get home 'til right after y'all finish for the night. last night was one of the first i've been able to find y'all still racin at 1am, my time which, i must say, was quite awesome of you guys! nothing like coming home from a hard-ass 20 hour day and blow it all off in 4 quik races

Voted 'no', as I'm on eastern time and can barely stay up late enough for the current events. Hoping for a slight 'early shift' once the western division picks up.

I believe what Kart Racer is trying to say is:

There would be an Eastern Division that would be able to race a little earlier, and a Western Division that would be able to race later. When you would want to race (time-wise) would be up to you. You don't necessarily have to enter the Eastern Division if you want to race later in the evening. You could live on the East Coast and race with the Western Division racers.

That would allow for an option of selecting an earlier start time for the Eastern Division, and would separate the Time constraint issues. You would, however need to declare the division in which you would want to race.

This is merely a method to allow the western Side of the countries the ability to start a little later, which would allow for the time necessary to tune a car and test run it after the dinner hour, rather than before.

Please correct me if I am wrong on this, Kart.

Good post Allstar. This is exactly what we are looking for. But, they can run in both divisions if they like. Some of use are night owls you know.
So if this changes your vote, just post the correction here.

I voted no kart so I could see the results. Im pretty sure most folks know I am east coast and will be busy enough handeling buisness for both regions to keep me put of most western region events.

For those of you that are interested the voting at the TPRA site is starting to look like a 8:00 PM EDT start for the eastern region and 10:00PM EDT for the western region.
