Sorry Wes because when you joined Rutter and myself we were driving the C30 and you went and bought that Cuppa ****. I'm sorry but I just couldn't drive that car or maybe it was the track but either way I was getting frustrated with the combo and I think Rutter was too. Just shows we can't get it right all the time. But well done for those that stuck it out.

I managed to get the car driverable but was nowhere near the pace of 1:27.xxx. Don't know how you gents did it.

Hi Joe I have left Rutter and Wes in the room but not sure how long they will be there. I might join later and give that Cuppa thing a go later.

I had a go in the Volvo on friday in alexi's room when we were thinking about using a different car to the Cappuccino (low turnout that day sadly). I got the one in the recommended garage down to 1:31's or something, but it felt really heavy and understeered a lot. I know I had the same problems on my own one when I used it in some A-spec events.

I agree with you, one turn really caught me out on my first lap, the driving line showed no indication of you having to brake, I suppose I should have due to it being a blind corner...
But yeah the one where a steep decent followed after really showed the Volvo's understeer!
 
I'm still in the lounge. Managed to get my laptime down to 1'31.196 with the C30. It's an enjoyable car to race with.
 
Back tonight for some testing/racing. Also sended an old race replay from the EVO RM, hopefully soon in HD on youtube :sly:.

I'll second that. Neenor would you mind sharing your track as I would like to give it a go. I must apologise as I haven't been able to be as productive but I know I can count on you gents to keep things fertile.

Edit: I just wanted to know how you guys getting on with collecting RUF cars?

Depending on which day, and the time, yes.

Its up to Joylord and Alexi really, the track that I shared is a definate contender for this week. I suggest a tuned car of about 540PP that should produce 1'30.xxx laps.
 
I'll test out a few of my tracks to see if I can come up with a good car+track combo.
 
Sorry to miss this weekend guys but Silverstone beckoned to me! Having watched some brilliant GT1, GT3 and GT4 races, would be nice to get something similar going as the racing was super close with a wide range of marques (a bit like the fat and loud event). I'd definitely vote for something like this over a one make race as I love the range of different cars, I'm working on something to mirror the GT4's now so maybe it's something to consider in the coming weeks.
 
I have a track up called Return of the Eifel, which I made when we were trying tracks for the Lupo. I've widened it a little bit to allow for the faster cars that I presume we'll be running this week. I'd recommend using a car that has roughly 450-500pp, or something with about 320BHP and 1100kg. I'm not sure what tires would be best, probably either sports soft or racing hard. (I did some laps in racing softs, racing hards, and sports softs in a detuned Renaultsport Clio with 386BHP, 1106kg, and 486pp.)

The track was made while I was making tracks that had a flat out mid-section, and you can't see turn 1 until just after you've started braking for it, due to a little rise. If you think that the track is too wide, I'll reduce it again.

I agree with Alexi as there are some great ideas, brilliant ones I might add. I was thinking of GT Legends 60's and 70's. but if we could be fussy on car choice this week and make it a two week event just to give us..... including me a chance to try and catch up??. And the idea of doing a endurance race is what I would love to do. Nice one Chris.

Anybody know how to do a vote post with times? that might be suitable for people to know when would be the best time to turn on there PS3.

John you should be able to do a vote in post one I believe and I think two weeks is a better idea too. 70/ 80's sounds like an interesting choice, maybe mixed grids but a pp setting.

Sorry mate, I forgot my camera :ouch: All I have is a couple of dodgy iPhone pics of a GT4 Camaro and the new (quite horrendous in my opinion) lamborghini.

Should be on in a bit, if she gets away from the TV! Have a RUF which I'll dig out and get ready, could be interesting on sports hard :scared:

Really wish there was an option for a timed race instead of a set number of laps to fit in with the GT feel
