I don't find anybody too agressive or random with battling for position at TCR. We all drive with a huge amount of respect for each other. 👍
Every situation is different and we are all human (right?):rolleyes:, so there is bound to be a little bump somewhere along the night, but the fairplay is superb!

About the Kodak-race with all the colourfull BB's ...

Beautiful photos Cobani, love the one of tiggles filling the frame and the black and green combo looks awesome.

I agree with your comments about the racing, everyone in our room has good racing etiquette, there's always going to be the odd "racing incident" , but hey, that's part of it.

I think I have in our recent 3D3 race. My laptimes were consistenly 6 seconds slower to the top 2 and I think the straightline speed wasn't what it was supposed to be either.

Thanks Wes,am a bit worried now as this could affect all online races in the future...

I am trying to find out if this is pre or post last update...if its post,than we could expect a fix from PD soon i hope!!

Hmmm, very odd.
I haven't noticed it yet. I think there must be more to this. Probably rejoining would fix it or it could have been wrong tyres or something simple like that.

Please don't let it be yet another glitch from pd.

If not,lets make sure PD notices this and fix it in the upcoming Januari update!!!

That is super interesting! I was in yesterdays lobby for a fair old while, when I first started I managed to run times as low as the mid 1'15's but then when I was coming near the end of my session I could go no better than a 1'16... High chance I was just starting to get a bit tired or my other theory was the fact I had to drop my HP by 10 as the torque of the car kept going up and up...

Been in online room with Ali, had one little race of 5 laps then some hotlaps.

Best time in hotlaps online 1'15.787

Best lap time freerun offline. 1'15.965 This time was done offline using Fenton circuit with the 512bb with setting as close as you can get to the online lounge, track edge real, 480pp and so on.

As you know i'm not a racer racer I can manage 1'17s lap after lap online / offline so long as I dont make stupid mistakes.

I do notice that the physics are not as stable online the car becomes more twitcy online which may account for a second or so in laps times in race mode but thats about all.

I hope some of you find this the case too, or I'm losing the plot and it's about time I gave it up.

Ok, so who's up for testing for the new combo?
It'll be a private room so we can try any 3 sector tracks people bring along, but we'll be starting with a fresh one from Jon.

We have mainly stuck to rear wheel drive in all our races, so we're trying something different.
Regs are any stock 4wd, 478pp, sports hard.

Will let you know when I've opened the room.

Shame I got round to this a little late.

A nice smooth run with as little trauma to the tyres as I could manage.

I'll add another in a min or two showing the tyre wear no one of the 10lap races



I was hoping it would show up better than it has, seeing the different driving styles and the toll on the tyres towards the end of the 10laps.

Thanks Wes, don't know if its me the dfgt wheel or the combo of the 512bb / track, but sure is a hand full to keep it going in the right direction for the whole lap, one twitch and the back end steps out of line.

I can say I have deffo had this and before the lastest update. The frame rate seems to drop, slightly grainy and my pace just drops away.

Yeah after reading many more stories about this issue it indeed seems to be a frame rate drop that screwes up the internal cpu clock and this causing the timer of the game to be off...it can run as slow as 4-5 seconds slower than normal per lap,and causes everything to go into a sort of slowmotion...

Lets hope PD notices this quickly and fixes it!!

Branching fourth an idea here.

1300kg 500HP Racing Hard or Sports Soft tyres (undecided).

tuning allowed

and track of choice would be a revisit to GT Paddock

The track itself gives pros and negatives to different drive types, AWD vs FR. Short lap tightens lap times against different cars with the racing hard tyres making more of a sprint every lap + relatively high grip for new comers. Why the weight you ask? Easy, these regs will give access to the best looking street cars in the game! Quick list of your options from the premium dealership

Had a great time testing/racing on yet another of Jon's fine tracks, Pins Circuit. He did mention however that He'd like to see more people offering their creations for testing and then voting on our favourite to use in a combo. So c'mon guys, there must be many more gems out there to be created, give it a go 👍

Anyway, I won't be able to join you guys for testing because the times don't work for me at all. Tracks are always available though, just let me know if you want one. Best to check my thread as I have several posted in there. 👍
 
I loved the combi we did sunday night!:)

Great track again joy (pins circuit) en with the stock 4wd cars on sport hard tyres at 478PP it was perfect conditions for some door to door racing. There are also a couple of places on the track you can take different lines. And there was a variaty of cars that are quite evenly match like the new GT-R '12, Audi R8 '07 and the Lambo Callardo.

My vote go's to this combi for week 1 of the new year.👍
