HA, bit of a funny story... I thought to myself, yea sure! I'll help him out and check the ol used dealership... 5th car in the list. Fully restored it and painted it Jaguar racing green... Have NOT duplicated it, so as a thanks for the tracks and effort. Enjoy!
Am I bad, I may come across as an ass sometimes but I don’t mean too, I just try and keep things fun.

I would love to do the Polyphony race cars on Spa. With a steering wheel.

TCR Press the Reset button

...Well not completely anyway.

After a lengthy discussion with Jon last night, we've we come to the conclusion that TCR 2.0 was a step too far. We still want member input and a monthly event, but we realise that asking you guys to create a track and choose a car is quite a commitment for you guys to bare.

So, here's what we're doing.

TCR will provide a track (maybe 2) each Monday.

Testing will go on for a couple of days (maybe 3) to discover which car or cars race well on the track. There will be no limits to what you can test, so feel free to go wild.

Once you feel you have found a car(s) that works well, you post it on the thread or tell us in the room as and when we are testing and we will add it to the thread on your behalf. Remember to let us know what PP, weight, Tyres, HP etc... you want to use.

Once we've had testing for a couple of days, I will put the list of choices on the thread which people can vote for.

I'm hoping that people will not be too attached to their car choice and will not be offended if it's not chosen.

Once votes are in and counted, it's time to race. If there is a draw, Jon and I will cast the final vote.

MONTHLY TIMETABLE
This will stay the same, as I think it would be cool to use the most popular track of the last 3 weeks for the 4th week of racing with any car to a PP set by Jon and I.

SO WHAT NOW?
Well, since the last week hasn't gone very well, we're scrapping it all and because the GT Paddock Circuit has had so many requests, we thought we may as well finish off this week (starting tonight) with the ANY CAR EVENT that normally takes place on the 4th week of racing.

GT Paddock will be available from me (GTP_alexi) for download later today, so anyone can start the room.
The PP for this ANY CAR EVENT is 527PP on Sports Soft.

So that's it. I'll update the first post ASAP with this new format, which I hope you'll agree that it's a lot more simple.

As usual, I'm getting pushed and pulled by clients, so I might not be around that early tonight, so I suspect Phil will do his thing.
In fact, Phil has done so much for TCR that he is now an official organiser of TCR. He doesn't know this yet, but I hope he doesn't mind!

👍

First off the details for this week can be found here.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6496140#post6496140

You can also find all the past weeks here to as reference, I’ll update this thread each week once the new combo is posted, this I hope you’ll find of benefit so you don’t have to look through lots of posts to find the details.

Jonathan & Alexi I like were your going here, I had started some small productions this morning from this list of track here.

http://www.bmrc.co.uk/

Seeing whether or not we could replicate some of the British track as close as possible using track creator, my KnockHill is not to far off albeit in Toscana just trying one of the other locations.

http://europa.eu/abc/maps/regions/italy/toscana_en.htm

I'll keep working on these plus using some of the other locations in track creator for variety, as I’m getting fed up of that fellow in the pits with his whoo-whoo-whoo.

"In fact, Phil has done so much for TCR that his is now an official organiser of TCR. He doesn't know this yet, but I hope he don't mind"!

Ha, he does now :) Thanks

The older I get the more fun and entertainment I want, so I’ll try and make fun / entertainment my goal, the racing is always good for me at the back of the pack, no hassle man.

I'll open a room / lounge for testing and race days early for members and guess of TCR that may like to race at an earlier time.

Phillip.

Hey Phil, congrats on the promotion to the elite and upper class of the TCR staff

As i wrote a few posts/pages ago,i am being very nice to my wife, and so am painting the entire house.....

Even tho i have a few days off from work now,am am not able to race the last few nights, and will not be untill at least Sunday or Monday evening...

I would like to give more feedback and help with promoting and enlarging this thread but am just too damn busy with life and work(getting some as a free lancer is very difficult right now with the financial crisis and all...)that a am not able to think and have time to create stuff what makes this great racing league even better!!

Alexi,Jon and now you however are doing an amazign job and am sure that, when time again comes available to me,i will give my best to enhance this series to an even greater level... 👍

BTW my house is now 75% painted and lookes crisp and new... wife happy=me happy !!!

Oh i also bought a 450 liter aquarium tank yesterday...i dont know why,but seems to be i will be having tropical fish in my house very soon...thanks wife!!!...

:guilty::guilty:

Thank you for bringing the event back to it's basics, I had a blast in my new love affair of an F40 (yes I am aware I'm getting around a bit lately). The car is just fun, chronic understeer but how can you be mad at something that goes sideways through the two sector 2 right handers... Keen to see what other cars people come up with, the Cico's RX7 was a mighty nimble thing and the LFA's certainly had speed with them.

out with the old in with the new?..

So what am I going to bring to TCR with my newly endowed abilities of (official organiser of TCR) one thing I’m not going to do is change anything about TCR it’s great as it is.

It’s you guys that make TCR great, some of the cream racers in GT5, you’re always up for good racing clean and above all, you leave your egos at the door, I take my hat off to each and everyone of you.

Cobani’s input with his great Kodak moments, Bart’s great video editing and all your input that you all bring to TCR.

I’ve sent a proposal to Jon and Alexi I’ll let you know more if my proposal is acceptable.

Phillip.

Cobani, Spy, Sam and Phil what lovely things you have to say about TCR.

Phil's right, it's only going to be as good as it's participants, so we're honoured to have the quality of racers that we get at TCR...apart from Spy, he's useless. Just joshing, you know I love you and if we could have babies...

Some moody looking shots there Sam, you're giving Cobani some competition. Great stuff.

Nice video too Jon, kept on getting an error though.

Right, so who's about today then?
I'll be opening a room in a couple of hours, after a well earned nap on the sofa.

EDIT: Also, on a random note. I'm so glad that the type of people that post in here, are not the type that post a message saying "1000th post!" etc...

Messing about with tracks and cars if anyone wants to join my private lounge.

Not sure if I'll be racing tonight, but we'll have a track ready for testing tomorrow.

👍

So long GT Paddock and hello Potsbrough!

New track is now available from me.
We did a bit of testing yesterday and it's an awesome track.
Will post a photo soon.

I have my suggestion for what we should do this week already, but would be good to see what other options you guys come up with over the next couple of days, but try to keep it simple please.

Here's my suggestion for the week.

Monday - Tuesday: Any race car 480PP, Sports Soft
Wednesday - Thursday: Any small race car 495PP, Sports Soft
Friday - Sunday: Roadster TC 510PP, Sports Soft

We might have to ban the lotus cars if they are way faster than any car.
Also, might change to Wed 480, Thur 495, Fri-Sun 510.

As you can see, there's an increase in PP as the week goes on and the car options narrow down. It should help keep it fresh.

I'll be online around 8-9pm tonight
👍

Also, we seem to be testing on Sundays at the moment, so will probably alter the weekly timetable.

Done some testing on your Potsbrough track today and found these.

Toyota 86 GT ’12 meets Scirocco R ’10 (FR vs FF)

picture.php
picture.php

Both cars are purchasable from the dealership at Cr 30,000 and Cr 51,500 respectively plus full tune and aero parts (No Turbo’s)

In keeping with Alexi’s request of keeping it simple but yet interesting

Battle these two great cars from Japan and Germany on the Potsbrough ring to make it interesting purchase both if you don’t already have them, as there are four nights of racing half the field runs Toyota’s the other half runs Scirocco’s the following night or your next visit must be in the other car so making the battle of these two new comers even.

My times with I may add poor tune up.

Toyota 86 GT ’12: 1’28.381
Scirocco R ’10: 1’28.427

So the battle should be very close between these two with settings that Alexi likes 510pp and both weighing in at 1170Kg, albeit the Toyota will have to take on a few extra pounds to make the weight.

Making the weight limit 1170Kg both cars will be the same 510pp and 1170Kg.

Phillip.
