Net's still slow here even after 8. Just got kicked from practicing on my own lounge lol.

Ouch lol. Yea, when I move back to AU mid this year I won't have any net connection for at least a couple of months... man I'm gonna miss online GT5 action. But until then I will be going hard at it!

Session 3 of the '79 Classics Spa open in 65 mins!

I missed the weekend session :yuck:

Don't worry, there will be multiple Pre '79 Classics Spa sessions this weekend.

Hope to see you there!

By the way, I like your sig "No glitches, cheats or duping" keeping true.

haha at least you made it to the session this time!

Zampli and i had a few 1 lap sprint races in the Cobra, '76 Golf and the Stratos. It was good fun.
The Cobra with its power and no ABS was a fun challenge!

Session 2 tonight will probably be pushed back by 2-3 hours or so...
We usually get more drivers in the afternoon/evening sessions.

See you then guys.

The Toscana tarmac route for the AE86 session next weekend is called S6. It is set to shared now. Please DL it and get those 86s drifting!!

* I just updated the 6th and 7th sessions on the first post! :)

* Well, the last Classic session is over (bummer not much of a turn out at all this weekend)
I'll be around for the next few hours or so if anyone wants to run some old girls...

Wow great pics Seido 👍 you really know how to capture the feeling in your photos.

Sorry I couldnt make it over the weekend, was prepping for an enduro (alongwith real life duties ) I should be able to make it this weekend for the hachi session, but I better stick to grip instead of drift (or spin as I know it :dunce:)

Thanks Dave! I try my best.

That's alright. I was a bit bummed that the event didn't take off like I hoped. Would of been great to see a large field of classics racing...

Give the drift a try anyway, these cars are great for it... and I'm no specialist at it either...

You've convinced me, ........actually I picked up both levin and trueno from the OCD last night.

I used to practice drifting on trial mt reverse and found the easiest for me to control was the premium S13 Silvia (drifting from tunnel was the most fun). So I'll see how I go round your track with this car.

Any recommendations on how the car should be set up?

Cool! yea I've got a few 86s to run.

As a base set up (even though I'm not a pro at setting up for drift) is
stiff springs and sway bars, good amount of camber and add a suitable range turbo and extra power upgrades so you have the power to control your drift.
Then tweak after you've run it first to suit your drive style.

For myself, a drift test track would be... Eiger as it has good variation and momentum in both directions. It's short and good run in both directions. I would suggest downhill to begin with.

I tried one of my 86s on my S6 route on the weekend... great corners, when you can hold a few drifts there, it's awesome.

Cheers for the info dude. I'll keep that in mind when tuning this week.

I'll also put my toscana track up for share, maybe not the best for drifting but great for aggressive slides and sudden drop blind corners.

No worries man, hope it helps. I haven't tuned many cars at all for drift but the 86s and the '91 NSX do half the work for me when I try drifting them haha.

Cool, I'll have a run on your track. I like the sound of the blind crests and corners... there'S one corner like that in my S6 route that elevates over a hill to the right and is sweet when you pull the car all the way through it sideways, watching the scenery through the fence straight on from the hood cam haha

The first AE86 session will be midnight Friday night AEDT.
I will have S6 open at night....

Tried the track last night....man I suck
It's a great track, but I cannot drift at all! Spin here, spin there 🤬. I've heard its better to stay in 1 gear above the recommended to ensure you have enough torque to keep pulling through the turn, kind of worked for me ........occasionally

I'll see if I can make it there to watch a pro  on his home track. You're right about this course though, it is fun when you hit it right and I did manage to hold onto some the drifts and even transitions :dopey: keyword here is SOME
