Track selection in LAN play

I've seen plenty of posts complaining about the lack of cars available in LAN play, however I've seen nobody (I did a quick search) complain about the lack of tracks in LAN play. I've unlocked every track in Arcade mode, but when I go to LAN play, there's only 6 (Tsukuba, Fuji, Laguna, Midfield, Highspeed Ring and Infineon) available... is everyone else getting this? I thought that this would be a bigger issue than not using tuned cars from the garage!

Have I done something wrong? Is there a slide bar somewhere that I can move to get all the tracks?
 
I'm no expert on this, but I know that there's a list of favourite tracks in the options menu where you can select the tracks to appear in LAN races. There's a maximum of 30 tracks as far as I know.

yes, you select your favourite tracks in the option menu and you'll get all the track for LAN, the same rule applies for cars. in arcade mode, go to car selection screen and press up, this will tick you fav cars.... you can now use them hapily in LAN mode.
 
Considering the previous info, all tracks are available (when unlocked). But, can any of the lucky GT4 owners of this board tell me if we can set up LAN races in order to run them for 24 hours? Or can we just set the number of laps? And ... if we can only adjust the number of laps, what is the max number of laps possible?

The maximum steeing for laps in a race if 50.

Very keen of you to want to LAN a 24hr race. :dopey: But 50 laps around the 'ring will be around 1040km's.
 
I think that would be almost enough if they all used something like fiat 500 :D

Well ...

If you think I'm gonna race 24 hour races mostly in B-spec you are wrong.

If you think I'm gonna race 24 hour races in circuits like the Nurb and Le Mans against ... five AI cars ... you are wrong.

The only way 24 hour races would interest me in this game is if I can race them against other human opponents. Missing the traffic that REAL endurance races have, but it could nevertheless be challenging, and fun.

And I'm not talking one driver per car. That would be impossible, or stupid. I'm talking at least three drivers per car.

I've done it (24 hours straight) with friends in the "Le Mans" game and it was fun. But against 23 AI cars, not 5.
 
Mostly out of curiosity, concerning the 'favorites' selection for cars and tracks (including in LAN)... I was wondering if it was by any means possible to select a car from the garage, so that it would appear in the 2P or LAN car options? Since this bares on the conversation that is... It looks like this new Gran Turismo game is all about customization...

Anyways, just a though...
