Isn't the Swiss Alps track basically a revamped Smokey Mountain South? I haven't seen SM South in a while, but the map layout seems awfully familiar.

Monza is in the game I've seen two pictures of the game that were in scans from a US magazine, it showed you the first corner, I'm sure it was posted in these forums too...

what about a rally track/stage driving through a desert somewhere in Africa? So basically it's a land full of sand hills and you make your own track. I thought I've seen it in the real rally racing.

Etep

They got HK, why not make the Macau GT track. It's the historical Asian street course where many famous drivers like Senna & Schumacher raced on. Come on PD!

Adelaide street circuit...wide track, the fast turn 8. its a really fun and challenging track

i think everyone wants spa.....such a classic track. than god its back on the f1 calendar

another famous circuit which would be great to have on gt4 would be long beach, so much heratige and history. and the long straight run into the tight first corner, fun.

I was gonna say Adelaide. Gotta have Adelaide, Bathurst, Pukekohe, Spa, Catalunya (SP), Cayalami (SP) and Philip Island. (Just to name a few)

pukekohe isnt a great track, i dont think it should be in gt4. its actually quite boring. phillip island is a good track, and id think all those drifters out there would like it (me dont drift so im just assumeing)

I definately recon.....like beck.... that they should put the Macau circuit in GT4.....Its challenging, interesting and would have some good views (like the Macau tower). Its different from Hong Kong because its not a made up track and I think it should be in there along with other real street tracks to provide a real driving experience. I hope PD see these forums!!!

I saw the Aussie V8 race from Pukekohe the other night, and it does seem a bit of a boring track.

I personally like the tracks PD made up.👍 :)

Although someone posted links to test tracks around the world in another thread, and Milbrook and Nardo have a lot of interesting tracks with variety, and have the advantage of being fresh to everybody.

I also mentioned in another thread that Ascari have built their own track with corners taken from other famous tracks, which sounds interesting.

Familier, yet not.

And for UK gamers, a copy of the Top Gear track would be good to see if you could match the times they get with cars.;) :)

Yup. :)

Just like Irohazaka on Initial D (Arcade Stage Ver.2 and Ver.3). It has a downhill track, but when you like to play/race uphill, they allays call it as 'reverse' track.

Long Beach would be a great track to have. I would especially like to see a hole in it like Cote d' Azure and Seattle, so I can break out of the track and drive by my g/f house. hah hah.

Definitely need to have Le Mans. Like I said somewhere else, there should be a 24-hour LeMans, with the pause function disabled. so you either have to actually do the 24 hours, or else you have to call in some drivers to help. (like the real deal)

There is also a rally race in Mexico, I forgot the name, Baja or something like that. As I remember, it doesn't have a well defined track, and it murders like 60 percent of the vehicles that try it.

Lastly, a track editor is a must. I want to use free-form track making, and have the option of using turns from other tracks.

Okay, I remember in one of the original GT4 screenshots, there was a Lancer Evo rally (maybe street) car parked in the middle of a track, during a glorious sunset. If you look at it for a while, the track surface/embankments are all snowy. I dunno if anyone can find this particular shot, but I recon that is one of the mystery tracks...

That looks like what he's talking about.

Most of the V8 supercar circuits are far from interesting, NZ included.

I'm still not seeing Spa on the member's list usernamed :p

I haven't seen anything about Monza being confirmed or screenshots from it, I'm sure people would be discussing it in all the We Want Ferrari threads if it was.

The Paris-Dakar is the African rally over sanddunes, you just have check points you have to reach, but it's impractically large for a GT circuit and way too hard to do nicely. Plus we have no real cars to run on it.

The Safari Rally from Africa though, that thing used to kick ass, I wouldn't mind seeing that as a rally track, or perhaps something from Greece or NZ, or Finland; there are a fair few good rally locations they could draw inspiration from.

BTW, where are the pics??

Here's a pic of Sagano:

And about Shibuya you're right, you can't race on it but I think you can race on Sagano

So THAT is Sagano? Thought it was Nanjenzi or something. I think in the topic "Photo Mode," you can't competitively race Photo Mode tracks, even though for hardcore racing fans as me, ANYTHING is a race track, whether it is an open-road adventure or a Mini Cooper race around the streets of Naples, Italy. I would surely enjoy taking beautiful pictures of beautiful cars in beautiful Shibuya. With this beautiful trifecta I've started, there are surely a lot of tracks I'm looking for. I'm not going bonkers on what I want to see in GT4. I just hope that there is enough GT4 will bring to the table after preparing up some hot dishes in the kitchen. The dream kitchen of PD is in there preparing hot dishes and delicious desserts of GT4 tidbits. PD is in that kitchen preparing these foods with love and care. And when the GT4 fans get their taste test of GT4, they will come back for more. A LOT more. Then when GT4 is out, it will be a restaurant that you can take home. You can either taste the GT4 appetizers of many tracks and cars, or go for the big meal and go from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the world in simulation. If you want your order of GT4 to be a take-out, you can. Rip lesser GT4 players a new ass by challenging them at the same house, or at a faraway house. So be sure to thank Chef Kazunori Yamauchi and PD for these wonderful tidbits.

Now after that bit of literature, I hear my stomach rumbling. Easy, boy...

Shibuya, Nagano, Sagano and Brooklyn are confirmed by PD at the E3 2004 :)

These are all photo location only.

we have seen pics of some of these.
San Marco. R5 turbo in The Square
Shibuya: EVO viii bright lights city streets with taxis, sure that pic has PD building in the background too.
Sagano: Tree lined pathway With Suburu, or the above skyline pic
Nagano:?????????
Brooklyn: Warehouse with viper
Tsugamo: Mini and maclaren pics parked in the alley between wooden houses.
Location Name?? The Snow Pic with the Rally Evo (that is definately a photo location pic)

I had the impression that all the tracks and races were photo mode, and that it was not a limited driving mode of some sort, but an added feature that was accessible anywhere. So you could win a race, then do the replay, and photomode would be an optional way of viewing the replay.

Well, you'll get there, Effo. Just keep making posts.

I think sometime by at least August or September, we'll have a VERY good indication of what new tracks could be in GT4. Maybe even G4TechTV can have a mock LAN party to demonstrate online capabilities. And I tell you, Gran Turismo 4 will have something for everyone. Even if your loyalty to the car world isn't anything like a WingsWest Civic kit or an Escalade on 24-inch dubs, then there is something for everyone. And as far as we know, both Honda and Cadiallc will both be in GT4 for all we know.
