Hi, I entered a 4 hour endurance series with the first track being Silverstone GP, but that track has an issue loading, nothing loads on maggots, nor the straight after that, any ideas? I already cleaned the disk.

My silverstone doesn't load after 1 complete lap then it all disappears, my Nurburgring sometimes dissapears normally the faster the car the more it disappears

Mine just doesn't load after a while, maybe it's something with Silverstone?

I'm not entirely sure, I always thought it was cause by a problem with my PS3 since I have significanntly slower loading times compared to all my friend's PS3's. I can't really see why it'd have loading issues for us though I mean it works for most people.

How old is your PS3? are you reading from disc or the drive?

I have never had a (consistent) problem loading a track and never had a problem loading a track offline.

Have you tried deleting the game data (not your save data)and re-install all of the updates?

Had to do it three times myself but it fixed it every time for me. A painful process if your broadband isn't the quickest and the install process is like watching grass grow so try any other suggested fix first. Definitely use as a last resort.

Ugh, don't want to, it's just one race, I might make it, I'll hold out

I don't blame you. A stupidly long drawn out process.

Not sure if I could do without Silverstone though. Not a track I'd want to lose but at least you've got plenty left.

Slim from 2010

That's what I have. I had similar issues with an old PS1 and an old PS2. After a while the laser's track wears and becomes just slightly loose. It has a hard time reading portions of a disc. The Silverstone data is probably in that spot. Try putting your slim on it's side or even upside down.

Probably your drive is dying /since your disc is OK as you wrote / .My optical drive failed on me out of the blue 6 months back and since PS3 is used mostly for GT6, I skipped fixing drive and get me a digital version.Runs a bit faster, smother, quiter ...

TIP:If problem is that your drive can't cope with so much streaming - track and music at the same time from disc and cars and some other assets from hd, then you can try following "solution" to ease a wear on drive. Delete all songs from race music playlist from "galery-playlists-race music".Doing that, disables music streaming, so one thing less to do for optical drive.
Note that setting music volume to 0 from in-game menu, just disables music output, but the game will still read music from disc, so it is essential to delete all songs from race music playlist. You can always resume it to default playlist afterwards.

I never had any such problems

My PS3 is old but works fine for all games. I will be upgrading hdd soon and need to see how to clean it to prevent overheating and may be disk issues as well
