Standard ECUs, so it would be difficult to get around the rules. And it would be illegal.

And no, it won’t make a big difference. There will be some smoke off the start line on occasion if a driver gives it a bit too much boot.

But the main thing is that drivers now can make mistakes with throttle input. Before, they couldn’t really. The more you put the driver in control the bigger possibility for overtaking, because it’s easier to make small mistakes.

Well said, it will also play a big part in pit stop strategy and tyre choice, more so with the smaller teams, because of this extra bit of wheelspin we are likely to see cars rear tyres acheiving higher pressures, and becoming even more slippery.

Sounds pretty good to me. We'll just have to wait to find out for sure what kind of effect this will have on F1 racing though, whether or not it will get "Better."

I certainly don't think it can get "worse." Neither will it make much of a difference. Was it last year's Brazilian GP when Button lost traction control in qualifying and went to, what, 8th or 9th? We just may see a few more spins from the skilled guys and maybe the back markers will produce even more.
