So help me here, what's wrong with the DMV and what will be the consequences if they caught him for not paying all these violations in the future?
The consequences will most likely be a revocation of his license and possible jail time.

A friend of mine has never paid his traffic violations, including a reckless driving which was 'bout $700 and numerous parking violations, I say probably more than 10 at least.

So few months ago I received a couple of parking violations and I was told that I didn't have to pay for them. But yesterday I tried to renew my registration at the DMV, they wouldn't let me until I paid for my violations.

However, my friend received his reckless driving like 3 years ago, yet he was still able to renew his registration last year even if he did not pay for it. That goes the same for his parking tickets.

So help me here, what's wrong with the DMV and what will be the consequences if they caught him for not paying all these violations in the future?
He will probably have to pay the fines and then go to jail for awhile if he gets caught. I wouldn't say that this guy should be your friend either. You don't want to know somebody who is a wreckless driver. If you continue to be his friend, don't get in his car.

Actually, a wreckless driver is one that would be a good friend.

A Reckless driver is not a good friend.

What I think has happened, is that you renewed your license in the town that you had the parking fines in.

Your friend got lucky in that he got his violations in another county and therefore didn't impact his renewal.

However, I think if your friend ever gets pulled over, he's due for some trouble.
