Am I the only one who thinks that the video in the link in the OP looks like the start of a porn movie?

Hi, I am looking for a new car.

**** me, right?

I've always hated the look of these Trans Am/ Camaro remakes. If you're going to make a new Trans Am, at least keep the chassis then make a body that actually looks good. Honestly don't mind if the engine comes from Chevy for the moment, but I think that whoever is making these cars could make more of an effort

And subsequently, the Capri was a basically a rebadged Mustang through ca. 1988.
That is true.

I thought it works well actually.

Love it... I just love it...

Ok I'll admit, after looking at the above picture I think the design's kinda growing on me. There are things I would change though, maybe just a general "nip and tuck" to straighten up that front end and change the bumpers...What do you think?:indiff:

It doesn't work for me, mainly because the new Camaro is a retro-design based on the first generation ('67-'69) whilst the Trans Am this is supposed to resemble is based on the second generation ('70-'81), kind of like the front though, that's the most convincing part.

I must admit that the seventies Trans Am always seemed very vulgar and shouty to me, with that eagle it's the automotive equivalent of a tattooed trucker.
That's probably the whole point but it isn't for me, I do have a soft spot for the second generation Camaro/Firebird though.

The wheels they put on these "Trans Am's" belong on '80s Lincoln's, Chryslers, and Cadillacs (assuming you like that sort of thing, which I don't). The ideal place for them would be melted down and used for more visually appealing things, like sink faucets, keys, and other things.

Can I ask what is so visually appealing about taps and keys?:P

I had the opportunity to see these cars in person last March at the World of Wheels, and to say the least, they are even nicer in person than on a commercial.
