So I have connected the systems and transferred everything over from my old system to the new one. However in GT5 I am missing all of my custom tracks, photos & replay files. Is there any other way to keep the replay files without exporting them all one at a time? Also, any way to get my custom tracks back?

Manual way of exporting replays is only way as far as I know. Don't know about custom tracks. I have got message across to PD about this issue, hopefully they fix it. Might try and send another message to them regarding this issue and see if I can get an update about it.

You're probably going to have to have someone copy your tracks and share them so you can download them onto your new PS3.

Yeah I was afraid of that. :indiff:

It's not a huge loss as I don't hardly use them now and I had a backlog of tracks that I never used at all. I'll just have to start over I guess. Currently exporting my replays one at a time. This could take all day...

Question to the OP, as I've been considering getting an ADDITIONAL PS3. Was your first one still usable prior to the transfer, and if it was, did data remain on it or was it a "from one to the other" sort of transfer?

You could create a secondary account and then share them to yourself as well.

I have had my ps3 for like 5 years now and I feel like I should get a new one and transfer all my data to it before I get YLOD or error code. How easy is it to transfer all system files to new ps3?

It's fairly simple. Just follow the instructions in the online manual, but it can take a while to do depending on the amount of data you are tranferring. I just redid mine & it took over 8 hours.

Yes 8 hours, but that included all 4 accounts, all the games played & all updates.

It's still usable, the main system works OK. The disc reader is going out, and not sure if it's the same part but after it's been on for a while it freezes up. I was exporting all of my replay files on Saturday and before I was half way through with them it locked up on me again. I had to force it off by flipping the switch on the back.

My transfer only took a couple hours since my old system was a 60GB and it wasn't completely full. Transferred to a 320GB slim. :dopey:
