Transferring savegame

Hello GTP,

I'm a complete rookie with PS3s and the GT series. I've borrowed my roommates PS3 for since the release of GT5. However, now I've got my own PS3, and therefore I wish to transfer my savegame to my new PS3 since I've got to lvl 30 A-spec and have a rather nice collection of cars.
When playing on his console, I used his login and PSN - am I able to transfer my savegame onto my own PS3 and use it there without having to use his login?

Looks like you have many hours of catching up to do... the save games are connected to the account it was made on...

Just log in under his user on a second account if he doesn't mind. As long as he is not online with that account your ok.

Guess I could do that, but I'd prefer to have it on my own account. I'm thinking of simply gifting every possible car over to my new account, whenever Sony feels like doing a days work and getting PSN online :D

At one transfer per day, that will take some time.

Also, anything >950,000 won't 'gift'

Yeah, I know. But I guess that I could prioritize. I can at least gift myself NASCARs, DTM, ZR1, ferraris, lambos etc. Saves me quite a few millions in the long run :)
 
Ha ha, imagine if someone who has all the cars that can be gifted in the game and wanted to send it to a new account. Wow, 1 car trade per day. That would take a crap ton of time!
 
Apparently save transfers are locked to ps id if the last save was made with the ps signed onto the network. If u re-save while ps is off line then that save file isnt locked to the id. Give it a try.

Anybody try this? Logic sounds correct, but if it was that easy I would think everybody would know already.
 
I thaught about one thing, if im not wrong you can tranfer cars from your gtpsp to gt5, couldnt it be possible to backup the psp game save, and then transfer multiple cars to gt5 multiple times? It seems that we can import stuff from the psp to gt5, and we must abuse this in some way :)

If Im not mistaken those cars (from GTPSP) are only available in Arcade mode.
