This is just how online works so crashes are less frequent.

The road when transparent on me tonight in an offline race. It was La-Sarthe at night, and if I didn't have the racing line turned on I don't know what I would have done.

When I paused the game I got to watch the world build right before my eyes, and the transparency was gone. I guess my PS3 couldn't keep up with the game.

People go transparent and still drive around... HOW??

Like a ghost-car? In that case it can be the reason that it's one ore more lap's behind you, or maybe the other way ;)

You go transparent online when penalties are on and have commited a move that would give you a penalty. Its is to stop other drivers hitting you and being penalised themseelves because of your mistake. Usually happens when you have been off and just come back onto the trach, thus avoiding another incident.

That's true, but that's only for a short while. It is all the time if you lap someone.

Sorry forgot to add that, Yes once a person is lapped they become transparent only to those who have lapped him.

To bad the rammers always uses ghosting and glitching for their own benefits.
Why is it that the rammers always have it easier than those that tries to drive a clean race....

I have seen this and I don't like it. In an online race a guy was penalized and when he came out of the penalty I rear ended him. Not may fault but the game's, then I got a league penalty for the incident. I think it's ridiculous.

A better way to penalize someone would be to force a pit road drive through on the following lap.

There's another thread about this.

Answer:
FULL_THROTTLE
In an online free run, park in the pit just before the point where it resets your car. Hit pause and wait a while and your car will be respawned anyway as a ghost, unpause and you can now drive as a ghost.
