Ok, so first off, let me introduce myself. My name is David. Im 26 and im a big racing hobbiest. i have done a little bit of minor open wheel tests, some touring car track days, and a lot of karting. Im writing to ask anyone for help on a trip that im planing sometime next year around march. Im thinking about going to Eroupe and hitting a couple of the major gear head meca's such as the ferrari factory tour (if one even existes), maybe hitting a go kart track or two, head to germany for a hot lap around the ring taxi, and a couple of other places that might be worth while. Im thinking about making it a one and a half to two week trip. And to tell you the truth, i have no freaking idea where to start or how much to buget. I would appriciate help from anyone with any type of help or experiance ( or maybe anyone that might even want to go with me :) ) Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Firstly, what country are you coming from? (Helps work out budgets.)

To start with, I suggest you make a list of where you want to go - the Ferrari factory and the Nurburgring are a good start, but you probably won't fill a fortnight on those two alone.

If you're thinking of going to the Nurburgring, take a look at http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ and the official website at http://www.nuerburgring.de/home.324.0.html. A lap in the Ring Taxi costs €185 (US$259) for up to 3 people (so if you can find a couple of other people you can split the cost), but they only run from April to October.

Buckmore Park is one of the best karting tracks in Britain. At the other end of the scale there's places like the indoor Team-Sport tracks dotted around the south of England which'll be a bit cheaper.

Try to learn a bit of the local language - people in most European countries that don't speak English as a first language will often be more cooperative if you make an effort to speak their in their tongue.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

hey roo,

first off, thank you for taking the time to read my post and lend a helping hand.

Im from Los Angeles California and the only other language that i speak fluently is spanish. But i do think that its a great idea for me to pick up on some german. LOL Besides, i have always wanted to learn another language anyways! :sly:
either way, this is a very good start. I will try and make a list and post it up some time soon and see what your thoughts are. By they way, where are you from?

EDIT: LOL DUH! south england. I just bearly read your profile.
