well, i have yet to do all the enduro's. truthfully i've only done the last one ( i forget wut the name of it was. its the egg shaped one)
but, for the Polyphony Digital series i used the XJ220, and since you must use a normal car i could only change the tires (and give it an oil change for some extra HP hehehe). Its a damn fine car, i dont think any other stock car comes close to it. It handles superb, and its top speed and accel are wonderfull. frankly its a dream to drive, and im really glad they made me use a stock car, because i had one all suped up just sitting in my garage and never really appreciated it untill now. The only other cars i can think of that would rock, would be the Zonda C12S, or maybe the ZZII, but im not sure the if the ZZII comes with stock parts. since its a supercar, it probably has some sports things already purchased. well, have fun with your hour or so of nonstop fun!

Yeah, it's two hours of fun. I haven't gotten there yet tho, hehe. Was hoping for some hits first. I've got 100k in the bank from my miata excursion today. I just tried my miata at it, jsut to see what my competition looked like and it was below the par, to say the least, hehe. Looks like my big competition, (unless they change it depending on my entry), will be an R34-V skyline and a supra.. You should go run the roadster enduro, it's a blast! Get an LS model and go change the oil first. I ran it on stock tires because it meant I had to pit around every 5 laps, which put some competition into it. (the other two LS's were changing about every 3-4. with sport tires I could go like 10 laps, but I was blowing everybody away..)

The best car I have found for this enduro was the the GT-One road car. Obviously you have to win one first but when you have one the race is a doddle.

na. no offense but for enduro's I can't stand using a car that is leaps and bounds ahead of everybody elses. No fun to me, to keep me going for 2 hours I gotta have a little competition. any suggestions on a car that's closer to the playing field? so far it's looking like an NSX zero. Why a zero and not an R? this struck me as kinda wierd.. I first picked the R for the extra hp and it's slight lighter weight. then I went and bought a zero because it was whooping me on my testrun. well, I did the usual, change of oil, before running each car and the zero came out with more hp than the R? (when the R started with more) It does weigh more, but for some reason I can drive it better too. haven't settled on that car yet tho. I might go out and get a Ruf. prolly a bit above the playing field but close enough to maybe still have some competition, since I'll be burning all four off rather quickly, (I would assume). thanks for the input tho..
peace,

I used the NSX Type S Zero for the Polyphony Digital cup, and I really like that car - well behaved under brakes, and could almost do with another 50hp to give you more options under power- great car.

New to this board, 'bout 80% done with the game. Thought this'd be a good thread to make my intro.

I'm planning on going with a ZZ-S for the Trial Mountain Enduro. The car is the lightest available, has a very nice power/weight ratio, and is all-around fun to drive. That it performs nicely without any mods (unlike the Elises) is also a huge bonus. Being lighter, it shouldn't have to pit as often, either. Finally, it isn't so far beyond the competition as to make things unfair. The Type S Zero costs a solid 40K more and seems to handle itself pretty well there in the few test laps I've run for the Enduro.

somthing I forgot toadd... I was surprised by what was actually my competition in that race. It started out I qualified 2nd, (don't usually bother but I wanted some practice on the track first, so I ran 3 laps of qualifying), right behind an upper model blue skyline. I pushed past him pretty quickly although he stayed around until he had to pit. Seems "he" had the same problem I had when I drove that car as an optional car for the race, it likes 4wheel drifts. That in addition to weight tends to burn tires up at a fairly quick rate. So he slowly faded into the background as he pitted every 3 laps. What came up on me a while later was the top model RX7 and supra. Both of them were long time-no pitters. Didn't keep track of the supra, but the RX pitted every 23 laps!!-and wasn't that slow on the tires it was running- (the supra pitted twice I think, the 2nd time being after the lap that it rode my rear bumper) I tried all of the top-dawg cars that typically showed up in the list of cars, the RX included, but I couldn't keep the rearend behind the front, (same goes for the supra), or at least not enough to keep the tires from burning off. (even with light driving aids, which I tend to not use) But I think it was doing so well because of it's lightness. You'd just have to be good at knowing its line through the corners. Haven't driven the ZZ-s yet. Guess I'll have to give it a try.. Have fun and remember to change your oil first!! (oh yeah, and welcome aboard :p , I'm fairly new here as well)
peace,

The GT-One Road Car (full) for a clean win and the Calsonic Skyline (no additions) for a challenging race. To just try out how long I could take the frustration and aggrevation, I tried the Alto Works Suzuki (full mods) and I finished 2nd !!!

I love the Tokyo enduro the best though... With my fully modded 300ZX it was creme de la creme of fun !!!

In the PAL, you can't modify anything but tires/oil - so he must be talking about another race then...maybe tokyo??

I did that race in the 787, and got a bit bored after 2 hours. Just did the Laguna Enduro in the C5r and won by 20 seconds, but it was looking dodgy for a while, because I was driving like a cow, and the Gillet Vertigo was doing 37 laps between stops!

I was doing 16 laps between stops, and when I was up on his tail at lap 72 I knew I had it won, because he was going to stop on 74, and me on 75, and I put in a good concentrated run of 1:19/1:20s at the end to take the win. Quite tired at the end though.

I won Trial Mountain with a NISMO 400R and got the Mine's Skyline as the prize. :)

Is yours the PAL version? NTSC, you can't run any mods but tires.

I dunno the version but you can surely apply any and all mods to the Altoworks Suzuki : turbo, suspension and all... For clues :
The speed is in Kph, The F1 cars are F001 and F002... Guess it's the Euro version...

Are we talking about the same "matchbox-style tiny midget" from Suzuki which is in real life the Alto ? (Or Maruti as built and sold in India)

I mean that one...

My 400R was tuned to about 493bhp and that worked fine. There's no reason the Viper shouldn't work, but it will be harder to drive than the Skyline when the tyres start to wear.

The difference between an Escudo and an Alto, Don Corny-toes my :warped: pal...
And I did not mean that I used the fully modded Alto for the TM Enduro... I used the following for easy wins :

Grand Valley : Denso Sard Supra + S2 Turbo + Medium Hard Tyres (F001 for the second run)
Trial Mt. : GT-One Road Car (No mods)
SS11 : Calsonic Skyline + S2 Turbo + Med-Hard tyres (Suzuki Alto for the second run, ended 2nd place)
Laguna Seca : F001 (F002 for the second run)
Roadster : MX5 1.8 i (twice)
Rome : Pennzoil Nismo GTR (F001 for the second run)
Tokyo R246 : Castrol Mugen NSX (Castrol Tom's Supra for the second run)
Mistral (Cote D'Azur): Twice with F001

Did you ever try the Alto fully modded with dirt tyres as well for the rallies ? I had enormous fun at the Tahiti Maze, Swiss Alps and SS5 Wet with it... At 231 Hp and all other available mods, that tiny machine is a monster !!! All three lightweight mods help it corner and hold the road like a leech !!! Try it for yourselves !!!

:D

Just done Trial Mountain enduro in Aston Martin Vantage with oil and superhards. Won easily. Reasonable fun. Won Calsonic Skyline.
