Triple Screen Question

I'm trying to go with triple screens.

I'm confused as to what I actually need to link the PS3's together.
I've read about a router using the LAN setting.

My questions are:
Do I need a specific router?
Do I need an Internet connection? (mine is very limited)
How do I hook everything up?

Thanks Killer, exactly what I was looking for. Funny, when I pulled up a search this didn't show.
It's very informative, but doesn't specify whether or not you need an Internet connection.
