Trouble staying connected to playstation network

If anyone can offer any advice to help me fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated. This has been going on for several weeks now and I've called tech support for PS3 several times, they have been no help.

My problem is that when I'm playing GT5 online, I'll get randomly disconected from the server, and be forced to quit the entire game and reload it again from the PS3 dashboard. This happens so often that the game isn't even fun anymore. I'm running a wireless connection through a linksys router.

I don't know what the problem is, but this might help narrow it down for anyone trying to help. Also I have gone to portforward.com, and I did everything they suggested. Still no help. There must be a router issue.

-I run a wireless setup, my signal strength is 100%

-My nat type is 2

-I am running the correct PS3 ports for the router

-It says my bandwidth is high every time I create a lobby

-My internet connection on the computer is working great, it's only on the PS3 that this is a problem

Does the PS3 use a static or Dynamic IP address? Try the auto detect settings first if that works.

I'm not sure and I think this is where I'm having trouble because I don't think i'm forwarding the ports to the right ip adress. I gotta check again and see what the ip is for the ps3. Thanks for the advice your giving.

Did you try setting the PS3 as DMZ or do you have something else set to that already?
Did you assign the ps3 an IP through DHCP?

Which router do you have exactly?
With linksys routers you either got to applications and gaming>DMZ and input the IP of the ps3(remember to remove all ports forwarded to the IP) or go to SECURITY and select enable dmz and input IP. Depends on which router you have.
