trouble with video capture card

i just got one today and when i go to play the screen is all distorted and i cant tell where the track is where the car is i feel like i just wasted 70 bucks

Try downloading some third party capture software/TV Tuner software like say D-Scaler. and check your drivers are installed and make sure you have the PS2 hooked up to it rite. If you use av cable then u want to get onto composite, if you used rf then ull need Tuner.

i would suggest troubleshooting on an audio/video forum or FAQ, and not a gaming forum....but hey, that just my own common sense coming through

Check to make sure you're running it correctly and it's hooked up correctly. Also, make sure to eliminate any extra software that is running when you do it. Those take up memory.
