Trouble with Youtube App

I turn on my Ps3 and go to the Youtube which is supposed to replace the Web Browser Youtube, right?
Okay so I watch two videos and when I click the 3rd video, the app freezes. Also, the two videos I was able to watch were extremely laggy/choppy. The app will also freeze on videos of the same thing but by another user. (A 787b speed test uploaded by User 1 will not freeze the app but the same video by User 2 will)

Is anyone else having problems with Ps3's Youtube? And if so, is Sony aware of how buggy it is? I don't like having to hook up the Xbox just to watch Youtube videos. -_-
 
It sometimes depends on internet. Since there are some videos that will buffer faster and others slower. I normally once I get the video up I pause it and let it buffer up to at lease half way before playing.
 
I don't think it's my internet since my Xbox runs Youtube perfectly.
I do have a theory though. You know the HDD Activity light at the bottom-front of the system? Well, that lights up everytime the video "chops" or lags. It seems that the HDD Light and video lag are synchronized so the HDD may have some involment in the glitchy/choppy videos?
 
well I never had the problem so I really don't know. All the I really have is my green wireless light that sometimes stays steady instead of flashing when watching youtube.
 
Thanks for letting me now that ps3 has youtube app. Today downloaded it with usa user and works like a dream.

Ughh. I'm thinking of hooking my Ethernet up, maybe that will help? I'll have to try it when I get home later.

Works fine for me. I dont think it matters but i live in Finland.
