Swiss Alps. Looking great. :D

And thanks for getting it up early.

Edit:

First 10 laps:

20.764
43.879
1'08.100

Great choice, Jake. 👍

The RAM is pretty easy to drive on this wide open track. So it's down to make some smooth runs, rather than a panic ride between way too narrow walls.

Back to the track. :D

I used to be preety good at rally when I played with a DFP, but now with the G25 it's harder because this wheel doesn't have the 200º mode. Anyway, it's still fun. Here are the splits I'm submitting (yes, before the end of the previous race :dopey: ):

0'20.405
0'43.345 (lost a couple of tenths)
1'06.749

1'05 probably possible but need more consistent brake points and a better T1->T2.

Tried to use least amount of angle on each turn.

Hey all hope your enjoying it... 👍 Board Updated. :)

Rallye track :( don't get angry dear Jake but this one's not for me ... see you next week 👍

Come on, Steven, this car is not hard to drive on this track 👍 I suggest you give it a try, this is the easiest dirt track, very wide, and the car isn't too fast.

20.251
43.017
1'06.397

Only seen a few faster T1's (20.215), and tied my quickest T2, but none quicker at T3 so I can't do any more. Gained .950 mostly because of the ending though, got lucky and strung together 2 crazy laps. The ending was feeling real bad the other day so I took the slow turn after T3 in 1st gear this time and it worked a lot better.

Overall just stay in the lower gear when you can because this truck doesn't have much power.

I agree with that point of using 1st gear, I usually stay in 2nd but I noticed too that this car doesn't have power with low revs so I did that corner in 1st. However, I did the first corner in 3rd, I didn't realise whether it was better to do in 3rd or 2nd, so I opted for 3rd, and my best T1 was 20.4 (on my submitted lap). Maybe 20.2 can only be done using 2nd gear?

No, I only meant when you could get away with it, switching more gears there would be very bad. That corner is kinda luck, stayed in 3rd and hit the corner at 73-75mph and only went as low as 67mph after turning the car a bit.

Fun combo to drive Jake. I'm not doing so well the past ten days or so, a lot of stuff to deal with but, I'll hang in here and keep at it!

I hope things are going well over there Ron... We had a great LAN weekend with special guest... Kevin! 👍

Ran just a few laps last night, but enough to get a feel for braking points, turn in, etc.

21.095
44.964
1:09.054

I'm not sure how a "hemi" truck has no power down low - then again this thing does weigh something like three tons.

20.931
44.222
1'09.042
need to work on that t3.

having fun......it's raining again!!

Jake, things are just okay at the moment. I thought about you guys this weekend if it weren't so damned far and I didn't have all this company I might have thought about driving down. Just too much going on and too much paper work to catch up on!

Yeah, we ran it hard to the end until some of the equipment gave out. :ouch: I managed about 3-4 hours of sleep on the planes, after the hour nap before going to the airport. I fell asleep on the couch last night at 8 pm PST.

I'll make a little writeup to post in the local gatherings a little later, since we have results this time. 👍 :dopey:

Will also find some time for this combo over the next couple nights. Just 2 or 3 warmup laps with Jake so far, not enough to be posting splits, and I probably had a wall touch in there somewhere anyhow. :dunce:

I gotta get to work on this combo, I fell asleep at the wheel! I will send that excel sheet to you, Kevin.

another attempt:

20.896
44.613
1'08.490

having fun sliding this beast around the track.:nervous: Once that arse end gets to moving in the wrong direction in a big way, there is no saving it, just hit the reset button.:ouch:

Very true, time slips away fast with the wrong line here. I'm having trouble keeping the revs up.

Board updated with your splits. Nice times, by the way Ron. You seem fast here. 👍

Thanks Jake not sure how nice they are,:nervous: I'm just having fun throwing this thing around the track. I find it's actually a fun combo (for me) to drive. Yes, keeping the revs up is an issue, I just try to keep the thing headed in the right direction. :sly:

That left after the bridge (t2) will eat your lunch in heart beat if your not careful and for me is the determining factor for setting up a good t3. In any event good selection for a fun drive Jake!!👍

Managed to improve quite a bit

20.588
43.904
1:07.374

As Ron said, once the rear starts to go it's gone - but find the right balance of drifting without bogging the motor and its surprisingly quick.

Don't know if I can get any more out of this one my LOFT problem is starting to show itself.

20.582
43.917
1'07.960

Great times guys, Board updated. Man, I need to get serious here! I'm eating all your dust! :scared:

EDIT: Ran a bunch more tonight after trying the GT5P Ferrari Qualifier... Talk about dichotomy. :sly:

20.469 / 43.681 / 1'07.055

I had a wall touch on my last fastest lap, so I had to keep going. Turned out to be a good thing since that new effort shaved .3 off. There may be one more session in me but I don't think I can advance enough to catch the leader. This one is real fun once you realize that the tightest line is the fastest line.

Some more improvement

20.358
43.249
1:06.665

This may be what I submit. Although there is at least three more tenths to be gotten at T3 (and another .2 at the line) I don't think I can put it all together in the same lap.

My first attempt.

01GTP 20.965 / 44.651 / 1'09.014

One thing I learned was not to buy a Dodge pickup. :grumpy:

LOL, I know what you mean, Kenny, Give it some time and it'll grow on you... for better or worse :sly:
