What is the real top time for the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640? The current time on the leaderboard seems outdated and I tuned this and another car today for a friend and now wondering what times the faster people have come up with?

Edit: Anyone hit the 9.1xx's?

I need to ask, but what do you mean by 'no tricks involved' as far as I know, the 'Retro Launch' requires significant wheelspin.. Something the Lp640 lacks..
 
Oh believe me bro, Certain people believe I can cheat any car, after I purposely started the rumour that I cheat plenty have accused me of such things to put their own minds at rest as to why some of my cars are as fast as they are.

But the reason I stated that above was so nobody posted times achieved through methods such as the quick shift launch, brake launch or various other glitch methods which people know about.

So, for clarification also so I know how to launch to be a fair competition, you're doing a standard timed RPM launch, or a full throttle?
 
Always timed for SSRX bro, with the exception of a few cars i've tuned, I use this method for getting PB's(personal best times).

So then how do you have an 8 second viper without any "tricks" since you dont like them?
 
A timed 2nd gear launch that runs out without being short shifted straight off the line or any of that nonsense. Not hard when you know what you're doing.

That old bird of a tune that I gave to Diogo ran an 8.995, but i've learnt much more now and a big IF here but IF i chose to use those methods i'm fairly sure i'd get rather close to the top time. Not to mention the methods used and frowned upon came from a game I was also very dominant on. If I was to retune it, which won't happen for a while because i'm doing personal faves only now really, I am sure I could get it into the 8.98x region without them.
 
What's this "timed rpm launch" ? I only know "timed full throttle" and "black screen full throttle". Or is "timed rpm" the same as "timed full throttle" where you hope to catch the optimal rpm ??
 
Yep, same thing, if it was to be taken back to the roots of where it came from it would be called a 'reverse drop catch launch' or 'catch launch' but lets not get into the technical side of it. It's just one of at least 5 methods for launching that I know of. But then again it's also been used on many other games over the years as a means to be more accurate.
 
Ill have to buy the Lambo to see what i can do with it.

Yeah theres a bunch, 99% of time they all end up with a similar result.

Like Mario Kart for Nintendo 64.. You revved up too soon on the count down you would spin out.. Too late you would bog.. If you got it just right you would throw flames and get a big boost!

First its not your thread, you don't own the site, as such you do not have the mandate to decide who does or doesn't post in any thread on GT Planet. Only the staff determine that.

Your not a member of staff (right now your on thin ice regarding the very concept of membership), as such its not your call as to who posts what. If you think a member is breaking the AUP then use the report button and let the staff deal with it, do not take it upon yourself to take that action.

Perhaps if the attitude of many others in this sub-forum were a bit more welcoming I would have been nicer to them, but simply they only brag or at most give very vague 'contributions' and little else. It's not my fault I tell at as it is, I understand Australians generally aren't as sensitive about others' feelings but that's not my problem. Once again I tell it how it is, no lies or deceit in any posts I make. If only mods could see what happens online maybe they'd understand my motives for my actions but we both know that has no bearing here.
