God I love that car for drifting. I started with an RX-7, then went to an NSX, but now I use the Hachi-Roku, and there's no comparison. I put a stage 1 turbo, sim tires, and the best exhaust and intake, completely lowered it, and put my favorite Yokohama black rims on it, it looks so cool.

I know I probably shouldn't make a new thread, but this is just such a good car for drifting, and I just started, so it's great for beginners.

You should consider going with naturally aspirated, turbos are really only beneficial for exceeding the power you can extract from a naturally aspirated engine. I found it handled quite nicely with 283hp! Just seems like a stage 1 turbo is kind of a waste if the naturally aspirated route is also available.

I agree...plus it just doesn't seem right having a turbo on a high revving AE86 like the SS, at least not when you can get that power with NA tuning. :shrugs:

I've got an S14 I'm tuning, I like it so far. I need to tune it a little more, it's a little too tight right now. The Trueno is nice and light.

EDIT: Oh, and the reason I turbo'd the Trueno is because I think the boost gauge looks really cool, and I just like turbo'd cars

Yes... Drifting in NA car is more fun for me... turbo is only good on straight aways :D and i love that psh.. psh... sound you cant get that from Naturally Aspriated only TURBO HAVE BLOW OFF VAVLE!

I haven't noticed any Blow Off Valve pssshh from low tunned cars, i really only noticed it in the JGTC cars. (ex. Castrol Tom's Supra)

If you are in the cockpit view and listen carefully you can hear the BOV. I tried both NA and Turbo on the S.S., i agree as well, the NA setup seems to work better with the high revs
