Truth about top tuners

I dont think ones status is official without an official tree and drag strip.

Lets say if we had a tree like what forza has when everyone launches at the same time? I think every supposed to be top indy/ ss7 tuner would find out how good and bad they really are.

Fact.......ghost is even worse than time.

I dont think nobody can be considerd a top tuner in gt5.

We are all just drag racers.

true to that but you have to add the fact that even thou the tree/ghost it's inconsistent, you could actually tell if you are doing some wrong or not, top drag tuners are those that react to the ghost in time and manage to pull from other regular tuner, im not disrespecting anyone by saying this, but its a matter of truth, we can all see what we are doing wrong, some people just dont want to admit that they are getting pulled and some dont want to admit that they just launched before the other one and thats why they win, I may not be the fastest but if I can see all this, they can see it too, the difference its that if I treed you I will tell you unlike others that get to proud to admit it, to me a top tuner its the one that even thou it got tree'd will still pull and win, thats a top tuner

Also, most of the time, you can tell if you got "Tree'd". If you can still tie with your opponent, you know you got a good tune 👍

thanks, im trying to explain things better around here due to all the drama that it has been going on, i try my best to ease the words so they dont get misunderstood with something else like a direct attack against other fellow drag racers.

It might not be an “official” system, but I think the top guys know who they are. I haven’t really been on for months, but even when I was I couldn’t compete with the fast guys and it wasn’t because there isn’t an official timing system

If you’re at a track day with your friends and use a stopwatch/iphone do you disregard the result because it’s not official?

Forza's system is a joke. I agree that ghosting isn't perfect I get treed a LOT and I don't know that it is always just me, or my connection.

It's a joke because it completely takes reaction out of drag racing. That right there is a BIG part of it.

Nope, i dont beat my chest like most of you whp claim to be better. Actually ive lost to the only ones ive draged on here which was ptk and dr.slump. I havent draged noone else besides the guys that run at ss7 where i have mor e success at.

So you lost to two guys who are regarded as top tuners (and who never beat their chest) and put this down to the unofficial system used?

I lost to them because i used lower hp cars or had just basic tunes so i really dont know how i would still stack up with an equal car.

They both are better tuners but i would never know how close iam to them without a official system

Not to mention iam not used to and hate ghost.

What would be better, is if they could use the false start that we already have for circuit racing. That way there is a count down and if you jump you will get disqualified.

Sorry but in REAL drag racing both car do not get released by a computer system and therefore have the exact same reaction time.

that's an excellent idea, if only PD could see this it would be great, there's only 1 more thing to solve, in a room that 16 racers can join, how would you imply the fail start system if there's more that people on the track, im thinking just 2 at the time but that would take forever since the count down its about 30 seconds, it would be great if we can help PD with our ideas on making this drag strip to be as realistic simulation of drag racing it could be

I get tree'd more than anyone I know and I still would not like this crappy system because it takes reaction out of drag racing, and reaction is a BIG part of it. I feel like I said this already, wait I DID.

I know that when I get an even tree my cars are competitive, ask ANY of the good tuners and they will tell you the same.

To me the jumps are even worse with a ghost.

Ghosting is by far the MOST fair way we currently have, if you race with people that jump then you do not race with good people. If I'm ghosting for people and someone jumps I call them out on it, and I will hold the tree for a while before ghosting. I consistently see the most even launches when the ghost is used, and I consistently see people jump when going on time.

I totally agree with this and your suggestion with the false start system. I think the host should initiate the race by selecting the type of race called " drag mode" or something like that, like when select "race for real/race for fun/free run" when creating the lobby. If we get a proper 2 lane strip, when you pull up to a certain point, the host will hit start race, which then the false start system activates and a 3, 2, 1, GO! countdown begins. At the end of the race, the 2 players stats will show up on their respective screens, at which time the next 2 players will line up. During the actual event of a race, you cannot move until it's over, then you pull in your lane and the process starts over again. When you exit the pits, you get some room to get organized and line up, which would effectively make room for 16 people.

well if PD makes it in a way were the tree activates everytime 2 racers line up while hosting 16 racers on a kind of free roam, that would be awesome, but I'm just dreaming/drooling just thinking about it
