It would be great if gtplanet had a hosted teamspeak server, so that fellow gters could communicate, not saying it should be so just a maybe.(a kicking around suggestion)

TEAMSPEAK

You should probably post more.

A Teamspeak server isn't exactly high on the "to-do" list I'd imagine.

Well, the TEAM Speak servers are used for online gaming. I played TCE mod ( wolfenstein mod) and used for planning and telling me team mates whats going on. Though we need an online game through Kai and Kai host their own talking way, I believe.

Doesn't Xfire do the same thing? Or Skype, actually. Or MSN... And they do it without putting more demand on this site's server.

Not a bad idea, but I just can't see much of a need.

^Right on

When I first saw the thread title, I thought TS had been banned and someone was protesting :p

On-Topic, I think msn or skype works fine, unless someone wants to run it on their own server.

From,
Chris.

I'd have to agree with most everyone else, MSN or Skype, hell even one of GTP's IRC channels would be just as fine.

Or, you could get premium and chat it up in the convo thread that's supposedly in the premium forum.

:D myea, i thought someone is complaining about TS.. lol

And i think IMs like MSN is enough (for me). Or IRC as TS mentioned. Does GTP has a IRC channel? Won't be bad idea.

TS

Indeed. But that doesn't mean anyone can post any kind of nonconstructive junk in there. The main rules for all the forums still apply in there.

Personally, MSN is enough. I remember Jordan saying a while back he was making some chatroom (I think IRC-based), but I can't remember whether he said he scrapped the idea or not.

Yep, as others have said, there are plenty of ways for you to stay in touch with each other, and we don't really have the resources to host anything that's not critical for the site.
