Hello fellow drifters,
If your reading this then welcome to our little ongoing bit of fun,and practice,as well as skill building both in fine tuning your cars and abilities as a drifter.
Myself and a few others have been setting higher and higher scores at Tskuba and i would like to hear your best laps and what car did them.....
mine is 36,082 using the V8 Vantage
my Friend who_da_daddy_x4 has 36,302 using the ever popular SPEED 12
the SPEED 12 is the dominant car in gt5 for drifting but as you can see its possible to get other car to be as good....so let the fun begin ......good luck and keep it sideways

so far.......
SPEED 12 -36,302
V8 Vantage -36,082

There is already a thread concerning this. Furthermore, the speed 12 is NOT the dominant drift car, it is the most dominant POINTS DRIFTER which around 95% of regulars won't do. Most people around here drift in online lobbies perfecting tandem skills within teams, not perfecting how many points can be had using an overpowered car on sports grade tyres.
And even furthermore, don't double post or else i'll get the DP police involved.

If I were you I'd drift online and forget about points, you'll build your skill level a lot higher with the likes of tandeming than you ever did with points.

Ugggggh best is like 28,xxx I want 30k + so bad. I have no idea how to drift better than I already am. Time to build a speed 12 and vantage drifter it seems

and if u knew anything about scoring points u wouldn't be going on about sports tyres m8, we use comfort hard front and comfort soft rear its best 4 points, as 4 control most people in lobbys think 4wd is drifting ?? i mean really thats for dirt tracks, its called rallying. as for tandem drifting, looks good but i aint no sheep. so as my friend said its just a bit of fun !!!!

The tandemers are the sheep? last I checked the drift leaderboards were 99% THE SAME CAR!

AUP
You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.
It is recommended to follow the AUP, though enough warnings will lead to an infraction from a mod.

oooo pick on the new guy......btw you cant use sports tires in an online seasonal event, and i didnt say anything about tandems...this is for points so my statement was correct by definition. as for there being another thread i appologise but i didnt see it. as i said i am new here and just wanted to see if there were any other drifters out there doing their best at this course and others...as far as tandem drifting goes that takes a whole differant set of skills.which are both cool and usefull but not what i am talking about.

dodge viper srt10 06' 27500
corvette zo6 06' 29300

cool score man, that z06 score is high...i will have to have a bash with my viper gts 99. in a few mins to see if its as good as your srt10.

Ooops!!!!! My bad

Don't sweat it mate. we do what we do best which is have fun and when the seasonal events come around we have even more fun trying to one up eachother...if they want to join in they are more then welcome but this here is a drift SCORE thread and not a TANDEM thread...maybe next time they will read it first.and btw...my sheep of choice is atm the V8 Vantage...i have beaten many cerberas with it and will do so every time i do the seasonal events...i am always on the look out for other equally good cars and this thread should provide a wealth of information as long as the Tandem boys will please just leave it alone..nothing wrong with tandem drifting...i enjoy tandem drifting...but for the last time this is a full lap points scoring thread.
now that thats been said its time for some new scores...lol

Viper GTS 99- 33,249 atm but there is more potential for this car...will update when fine tuned

Who cares about the Drift leaderboards?
They're useless:drool:

ok eddy why are they useless?.if i can get a vantage into the top 50 then im a happy bunny...but if i could get say a zonda c12 that high i would be even happier cause no ones done it yet (that i know of i might add) the points are there to be scored...youu just need to find the line and tune your car to follow that line as sideways as it can...but just going fast sideways around the corner isn't enough...you need to be in as high a gear as you can with as many revs as it can handle without it bouncing off the limiter...sure its frustrating to see the same people using the same cars ALL the time but hey what ever works best for you...i have the speed 12 but i prefer the vantage...its just more fun...i like a challange and this gives me just that ...a challange...anyone can take part...use vertually any car...and help you fine tune you car and skills at the same time..i will help anyone who asks...if i can great if not then hey i tried...

so far.......
SPEED 12 -36,302
V8 Vantage -36,082

dodge viper srt10 06' 27500
corvette zo6 06' 29300
zonda C12S 30,258
ae86(S.SHIGENO VER.) 24,500

Problem with Leaderboards or rather drift mode (IMO). That it doesn't show sufficient skill or the judging is rather off.

The Line and angle are incorrectly judged by the in-game engine. What happens when you do A reverse entry? You get A big fat 0! The lines are god awful that you need to stick to, to get A high score. For that reason most of us around the GTP drifting forum don't do it. I'm not slating points drifting. Everyone is different in there taste but, "I ain't no sheep" who da daddy? What about all those people using the Cerberra Speed 12 or Buick Special 62'? There not sheep?.

We also use comfort hard tires around here also so please don't start the tire war or the 4wd war. We settled on the fact that you can use what you want and talk about what you want, if you have A problem and flame it you will 90% likely be reported by someone.

Oh yes and what Drifterzz said, the Cerberra Speed 12 isn't the dominant car in GT5 drifting, it's the dominant car in GT5 points drifting :) . You need to be careful and consider others opinions around here because it does start arguments easilly if you don't.

well what can i say but its not a dedicated drifting game so there will be people who complain that they just cant do it...at the end of the day i dont come into your lobby and start saying that what your doing tandeming is not like D1 so i would ask you to be cool and either join in and post your scores or please shut up about how you just cant do it...:crazy:

pardon me i never intended to start anything other then to find other like minded drifters...my only gripe atm is that i have never looked at someones thread about what ever and just started slating it...this is for drifting points...whether its messed up or not...at the end of the day if you dont like it or dont do it why say anything on my thread?...its rude ,negative and tbh just childish...i mean im not glitching or cheating to get these scores i spend hours fine tuning JUST like every good tandem driver does...just because we do differant styles does not change the fact we all drift so have the common decency to either put your scores up or keep quiet about how much you don't like what i do for this or that reason...you do your thing and i will do mine we can all be happy .

What is the difference between Tandem vs Solo? I am not trying to start a fight or anything.

Actually its not the same
Drift mode- tweaked physics to make drifting so, so easy
Online- simulation mode

Edit: The awkward moment you go out on Tsukuba in an untuned speed12 and get 37,XXX points when the last time you went in drift mode, you where throwing out christmas rapping paper.

Why isn't there a drift point thing online instead of the race option. I always find it so stupid when your in a drift room and the guy starts the race because it's a real race lol not drift at all

Thats a typical misunderstanding. "Races" have the only purpose of save replays, for diferent artistic uses. If and when someone is rushing alone while racing, its a waste of time and effort, because later he wont appear in any video or picture.

About the OP, its ok if you want to discuss drifting points here. I dont do this, but also ill not troll you telling to stop to drift for points and start to drift online like a true GT5 drifter.

Consideriong I was actually being nice and just basically saying watch what you are saying because you're thread will get trolled if you don't. If you don't want to even try and understand what I said then you shouldn't be putting threads up. I said everyone is entitled to enjoy there own thing but when you hate against others and make very bold statements that pople won't enjoy you will get hate. Don't turn on me as I was telling you just to be careful and weary of what others may think. Your more than welcome to post what you want about points drifting, 4wd or anything, I don't care!.

Also I didn't slate you're thread, I gave you A reason why 90% of drifters on GTP don't do points drifting. You're thread is A good idea if it didn't get off track so in that case I will say, I'm not arguing and I hope you're thread gets back on track.

Also, Try not to multi post as it is frowned upon hugely on GTP Forums, try using the quote button which is on peoples posts and you can also use A multi-quote feature.

ya know what .....i was told this was a cool site to have some fun posting scores etc....but so far all i have seen is a couple of childish busy bodies who hate on something they have admited they dont do which is drifting for points .....post a link to this other thread so i can find it cause i went back a long way looking.........never saw anything about drift scores at tsukuba.......so far im not impressed wit this place

You came to the right place though we try to keep drifting fun ( no matter if someone wants to start a argument...>.>). I believe that I made a thread concerning the activity of tracks for points.
If you have time
