I can drift the last corner of Tsukuba, but I'd like to do it more consistantly and do it better. What techniques do you guys use to drift this corner? What is you're entry speed? Thanks in advance.

(Ah, almost forgot... look for some videos from me soon, Tsukuba reverse :) , Autumn Ring, and others.. Just gotta buy a video capture card)

I don't pay attention to my corner speed nor do I feint on such a long turn

i follow much the same routine evilgnome.

Dependent on the car and tires, i begin feint motion from the start of the pit entry. My turn in speed is generally between 120 and 140km/h

i start out with the rear tires just inside the dirt,
then i do what i can to hold a pretty mild angle (something like 30 degrees or so) the full distance - it doesnt require as much power as you would expect.

as i progress through the turn i come back across the track and finish about one car width from the pitwall and facing parallel with the straight. Its only in more powerful cars that i ever make use of the curbing at the exit.

I've drifted it in a stock power S15 without tooo much trouble (though the exit was a little abrupt)

This is like the easiest corner on the course.

It's just like any other corner that you enter from a straight and exit into a straight.

I find it harder to grip around than it is to drift around.

what i do is began sliding the rear of my car out on the straight away, once i reach the apex of the corner im already sideways, also it keeps me out the dirt

i drop it in the dirt and then give it a "huck!" somtimes i'll do some heavy feinting(moreso linking into), but hardly ever succeed that way. usually goin a gear above the one it tells ya.

Get as high possible angle and let it slide through. Speed won't matter because hopefully, they will cancel each other out.

I enter the turn at about 80 in 3rd gear, use the feint technique, and downshift to 2nd at the start of the drift. I did this in a Trueno S.S. with Comfort tires in the front and Economy tires in the rear. The power set at -3 and weight is -3 and of course no driving aids. My question to add is how much does anybody speed drop on that turn because I drift through it at like 60 MPH. I really should get a capture card to put up my replays, just to add I'm rockin' the DS2.

I just tend to start the drift with a mild faint, then i just give it a little gas to control the angle of the drift let go if neccesary. Dont know my entering speed i really dont pay attantion im pretty sure its over 110-120 Kmh , mid drift its usually 60-80 kmh. I tend to stick to the outside line, or sometimes i change the line mid drift from the inside to the outside, always end the drift closer to the outside. Hope this help, by the way im new to this forum, its helped me alot with drifting never though you can drift with a DS2 till i saw some nice vids.

BTW. I use an RX-7 FCS3 GT-X
