TT Suzuka Nascar replay on Youtube, help please!

Due to cheaters on this timetrial, i am unable to rate my lap against others. However, in the rankings i have seen many drivers making a 47.xxx lap. I must believe these times are real

My best lap was a 49.5xx and i rate this lap pretty good. Even if i'm cutting corner (1-2 wheels on curbs at times) i am still maintaining good speed around the corners and having fairly good throttle control when accelerating out of corners.

But:
1. How lower my laptimes? Do you see any possible improvements? Am i doing anything wrong in this lap? what can i do better?

2. Is 47.xxx realistic or does some of the cheater, cheat and then pause just before the finish line and accelerate just in time to make a "realistic -but fantastic time"?

I rate my self fairly good, above average, but again, not a great driver. Hoping some of you that drive better than me could give me some pointers!

All the advice I can give is to max out the downforce, and shorten the gearing to ~200 rather than 250.
 
i dont post in the other thread because this isnt a post about how much it sucks that cheaters have ruined the tt. As i said in my post, it DOES make it harder for me to compare my times/rate myself etc

Mainly, this is a post where i ask other drivers to give me some pointers to optimise my driving.

I do not hink the other threads about cheating on this tt would be an ideal place to post yhis matter.

just check the links -.- 1 of theme is with thread name "Another cheater!!!!!" and you say "there are nothing about cheating?" its a whole thread about cheating sry...

Based on this leaderboard the time to beat now is 46.841 by GTPL_Kolsa2 .

1. Setup is everything when you want to carry speed thru the esses.

2. Even a high 46 is doable. Some of the times at that range thought may look like what you described.
