Another $%&/(!"·$%& cheat on the Susuka Time trial, he has 10sec less than the fastest real driver.

So bye bye time trial :grumpy:

I just saw this. Don't like people that cheat :grumpy:. He is 18.626 seconds faster then the next guy.

I just hope that TT will last until later today, I want to grab the prizes before (inevitable?) shutdown.

How is it possible for people to cheat on Suzuka? GT5 Prologue has permanent leaderboards on that track and I don't remember hearing about about any recent cheating problems in that game.

Just saw the cheater when I did the time trials. Such a $§&")!//&. Where's the point of cheating in that ranking list? Everyone is actually one place better than it's shown... that guy doesn't count.

Quite easy actually. If you search for Suzuka glitch on YouTube, you'll find some videos on how to do it. It's like the fixed glitch on Nürburgring; few metres away from the finish line is a way to get behind the wall, then just drive some circles around the track and finish line - that's it.

This glitch is actually quite useful, for example if you want to gold Vettel challenge on Suzuka or still need to do the Suzuka 1,000 km. :sly:

BUT CHEATING IN THE RANKING LIST IS DUMB! :grumpy:

Edit: Took me 2 minutes to search and find this video.

Before we crucify or accuse people of cheating has anyone watched the replay to confirm that the person glitched? I hate cheats but let's be sure before we accuse.

surprise surprise another noob ruins it for the rest of us. personally i think their ids should be banned from gt5 just like blackops users

I've watched it, and he's definitely under the track. Took him 3 minutes and 4 laps to get a 28s lap though!

I have both the replay and now a recorded video to prove it. I'll post it up in a few minutes.

Thanks Bro..why do these folks have to ruin it for everyone else. Better cash in before pd pulls it.

yes upload the video to youtube buddy. heck ill even download it too and reupload to youtube to get the word out more lol. i really hate when they do this

PD must have some red ears. Are all the tracks full of holes or are they just unlucky at the moment? :indiff:

They are unlucky at the moment. Actually the known-off glitches at the moment are only on Suzuka (which really should be fixed, the possibility behind the finish line is not the only one to get behind...) and on the Nürburgring (damn... there will always be some guys who will find a hole, the track is just way too big to fix them all).

Edit: Okay, there seem to be many other glitches which I don't know off... just read the next post.

All the tracks are full of holes.

I just can't understand why their definition of solid isn't the same as everyone else's!? I've never broken out of the track in any other playstation release, yet this game is utterly rife with this problem.

La Sarthe has a couple, Cote d' Azur has more holes than a pair of old socks, SSR7 still has some that you can get through and then we get onto the American tracks, which all have gaping holes, through which you could pass a cruise liner! I've only ever managed to get out, can't go any further than 2 seconds and then it dumps me back on the track, but the fact that I can do this with ease should be embarrassing for PD, as I've only ever found them out of curiosity, and sometimes racing misfortune!

Everyone remember its just a GAME!!!

whats your point? if they put up a challenge then we expect to take part and not cheat. once cheaters get going then they will close the time trial event and ruin for the rest of us.. or are you cheater too?

PD should add penalties for cutting corners or other things that include cheating in a circuit. Like what they did in the rally special events, wherein they add 5 secs penalty for hitting the barrier or wall.

Video is uploading right now. Will be linked here once its done.

Havent done, but I would if I wanted to as I paid the money for the game!! IDGAF what anyone has to say bout that either. At the of the day no matter what the challenge is if PD cant seal their games up then people WILL use it to raise their bank up!! If you want to moan and cry at someone contact @Polyphony Digital.👍

Problem with this is its the leaderboards. I would agree with this if it were over duping cars or the birthday since they don't effect anyone. This however does, everyone else's hardwork gets thrown away because someone decided they didn't actually try to put a fast lap without resorting to this. Exploiting Glitches in Single player is one thing, doing online against others is completely different.

Also, Video is up:

Couldn't agree more. Head off and explore offline, or when running against AI is one thing, but when there's actual people involved it's out of order. (Unless everyone is doing it in agreement beforehand)

If they just removed the invisible floors from under the tracks, this wouldn't happen.

Also, I highly doubt this would be possible in the Vettel Challenge. You'd get disqualified just trying to break out.

I agree to your first point. To the second point: it's a little bit difficult to get behind the barriers without getting disqualified, but it is possible. I tried it out yesterday. Took me 3 tries, than it worked. 👍

So long as you approach it slowly enough it doesn't register as an impact, therefore you don't get disqualified. (I think that's also why you can drive through them, but not crash through them at speed. Perhaps made of a newly discovered Non-Newtonian Solid? lol)
The one at the end of the straight is possibly the easiest "gap" to get through that I've encountered yet. You can get through the one half way back up the straight too, but that one will, more often than not, disqualify you.

I'll freely admit that I didn't know about the Suzuka glitch until today, and gave up on the vettel challenge for this track long ago, and completed it this morning following the rough path in the video linked earlier in this thread. (My only cheat, and only gold in this challenge series)

(EDIT: As for the Time Trial, I've done a legal time, taken the gear and the money, fully expecting PD to take the money back despite participating in the correct manner. One run, never going back to it, no point really, as it'll get withdrawn by the end of today I don't doubt.)

It is just a game, but when you're doing a competition with other people, and you know they are following the rules, it's dishonorable to cheat.

It's just a game, and if you need an exploit to complete a challenge or endurance race, no reason for anyone to care... but it's totally different when you are competing with real people online. It really does ruin the game for a lot of people. They want a fair fight.

Yes, PD should ban truly blatant cheaters. Only a matter of time before they either remove the event or it's impossible to get a high rank because 50 idiots are cheating on there.

The fix is really easy, IMO. Have some manner of checking if someone deviates from the track too far, and if they do, add an hour to their lap time.
