I want to do the 4 hour roadster race in a stock Mazda Roadster RS, but the competition is very close and I had to pit more than the AI in every endurance race so far.

So I was wondering if anyone has tips to lower the tyre consumption with help of a tune. Or maybe if there's someone who already has a tune ready for this.

I don't know what tyres the AI uses yet but I guess it are hard sport tyres.

Ok very helpful. Now make me a road map to the place where it explains how to make a tune that saves tyres. I've checked the GTplanet tune database and all Roadsters there have there power tuned up so those tunes probably won't work for the same car without any parts (except for Transmission, LSD, Suspension) added.

But again thank you very much:tup:

Found a thread discussing LSD & tyre wear. So someone can lock this thread.

Using a lower power will make the car handle better, so any tune designed around more power will work great. It's the other way around where you start to run into problems. Tire wear is mostly a driver cause. Enter slower, less steering input, less throttle application, smoother on the throttle, don't brake as hard, coast more.
Less toe, less camber, more conservative LSD settings and use a tune to balance the car front to rear so that all 4 wear out evenly.

Ok thanks for the help. I thought you would need completely different setups if you used a less powerful car but I'm guess I'm wrong. My driving style is a bit agressive so I may need to work on that. I didn't use the search function because on most forums it doesn't work properly but it seems GTP has a better one.

I actually tuned my '07 Miata at around 200 hp. The car handles really well at 150hp and totally maxed out on sport softs. My tuning garage is in my sig. Give the tune a try at your HP.
