but the thing is thgat we don't know what has been done to the cars in the game, so they might really have stock exhaust systems.

You may be completely right as we don't have a list of mods done to it, however even if it was left stock I feel it sounds less "raw" than before, which is why I, to answer the original question am saying


No I don't think anything was improved. That's just my opinion.

IMHO sounds on all vehicles are enhanced since the update. They are much louder to the point where engine noise from other cars (Blitz!) will drown mine out when I drive from the bumper cam. It can be addressed somewhat by adjusting sound output.

I think it is more realistic, when parked under the bridge a Suzuka in online races, the sound of the cars going overhead is freaking awesome. I swear I hear dirt and derbris hitting the car as well. I use a nice pair of 5.1 headphones, BTW.

Overall, I think you will be happier with the sounds.
