When youre feeling a little bored with the car youre driving and you see that everyone has it.. and you decide you want a tuner car thats unique.. what do you do? Buy a premium car and modify it from the ground up? Go to the tuner companies and buy pre made? Or do you have a combination in your garage?

I go the custom route, i build all of mine from the ground up, theres something not fun for me about getting a tuner car pre made from HKS (i did admittedly buy two CT230Rs but both were for trades, i didnt keep either one).. i like to do it myself.. my SLS looks all the more satisfying to me because i know i did the custom touches.. how bout you guys?

I've never cared about being unique for the sake of being unique. I don't see much point.

However, I do like to create car classes. Sort of like a fantasy set of race rules that can be applied to similar street cars through tuning. I'll buy a car, then decide on how fast/capable I want it to be and add tune appropriately. Some cars may only get sport suspension, front splitter, and ECU upgrade for example, while others maybe max upgraded save for the engine.

I like buying tuners as well though. Any car in the game is a car I want to own and race, and I'm pretty sure the tuners can be further tuned anyway. At least some of them.

Thing is, you can never build something similar like a CT230R using a Lancer Evo as a basis with the existing tuning possibilities as it basically is a completely redesigned car which acts and drives completely different than a tuned Lancer would, not to mention its appearance.
I treat the tuner cars (or customized ones) in the dealer section as just another different car.

yeah thats true.. the customization abilities in this game do kind of suck we should be able to do more with the cars.. im starting to hate TT and GT5P more and more because they took development time from GT5, he HAD the two years he wanted, he just used it on other projects.. but i make the most of it, i try color and kit combos that i havent seen on other cars, should i invest in dealer tuners?

i always go full kit on mine, starrting with a fresh car just bought from the dealership all the time.. it gets expensive (the 4 i did last night cost a total of nearly $2.5 million) but its better than starting with a car youve beaten on and need to restore (especially in the case of the Enzo, you might as well get a fresh one with this.. same cost), the older copies of all my cars are always left stock as well.. my next project is gonna be a 135i drift car

That depends on what you want ofcourse, if you want an Audi TT with roughly about 700 hp (don't remember the exact number) fully tuned your only option is to buy the HPA one (as the regular TT's won't reach that number by quite a margin), it can be painted another colour and the wheels can be changed so there's something personal you can add, it is very expensive though.
The Spoon CR-Z on the other hand doesn't reach the numbers when fully tuned than a regular Honda CR-Z will fully tuned, although it offers a different driving experience, it's for example only able to be tuned as N/A instead of the regular version whereby you can fit a turbo.

That's a great idea. It'd be even better for this game if we had the ability to create custom championships. That way you could create an event for 'Sports Tuned cars, 450bhp' (like you would online, but as a series) and see what the game could throw at you.

I like to find special road/track cars in the UCD. Standard cars that have been tuned a little by Nismo, TRD or Spoon, etc. Or even something just a little bit different, like a limited edition release. Things like the Legacy B4 Blitzen, Elise Type 72, Focus RS, Celica TRD Sports M, etc.

Then I like to fine-tune these cars for road/track/street races online. Around 440-520 PP. Usually I won't do much to the engine/power but just try to set up the chassis and suspension as best I can.

Some of the lightly tuned 350z's are my favourites atm, such as the S and Z tunes.

Who says we cant start this up? once my finals end in a couple weeks time ill gladly help get this idea going if you all are interested.. of course obviously we'll have to work out what pieces go in the cars so i can build a fresh batch for it (all my tuners have stage 3 weight reductions and engines and chassis stiffeners.. theyll be too fast for this, id have to cut off all the maxed bolt on bits, it would just be insane, id rather start with a fresher car) but its workable!
