I'm sure you all have checked out the new 10 scans thread
GTscan7a.jpg

I'm sure you all are fimilar with that pic. I was wondering when I would see this tuner's village which is said to consist of tune shops like scion, hsk, etc. I went back to the 10 scans thread and notice at the top of that pic above, it says modellista. I was wondering, is that the name of the tuning shop for all cars or what? Then I came across this logo
modellista.gif

and I noticed the toyota modellista celica on the japanese gt4 site
http://www.playstation.jp/scej/title/gt4/main.html
go to cars and look up toyota modellista. My day has been made :D the first tuning shop has been witnessed.

Thats cool man, @however I'd have though the N2O would come under a forced injection category together with turbo's and superchargers. Not that thats important though.

This is old news. Do a search.

Lol...sorry...just kidding. But your gonna hear this, because alot of these members are search nazis.

Yeah...tuning companies are good. *thumbs up*

Awesome 👍 First , I tought you mean automodellista ,so I had to read it twice :D Great news , I never noticed it , even if I saw the 10 new scans :)

Having nitrious is one thing, but if they include under car neons then I really will loose some respect for GT

Why?there some friggin lights under a car so friggin what.

Well theres no 'friggin' point (apart from adding weight) & they make cars look like 'friggin' xmas trees...

"I live my life 1/4 a mile a time" :dunce:

well, 'tis the season so why not. if you want neon, go play need for speed. if you wanna good game, wait a couple more months and gt4 will be out...with out neon hopefully

some people may like putting christmas lights on their car.

Glad to see there are ricers around, they make me laugh. Yeah one of them told me a bone stock Civic could beat a 5.0L Mustang on the 1/4 mile. I almost died laughing. :dunce:

Anyway, don't get your hopes up too fast, modellista is a company like TOM's, they make a modified version of the Celica, period. They are not like HKS or the other part companies. Remember when you tune aToyota in GT3, the TRD logo appeared at the top of the screen but that did not mean there were tuner villages.

see ya :sly:

Damn... 500,000cr. for NOS!!! That seems a bit much 👎
As said by cobra, its in Yen. Divide by 100 for the USD amount.

Yes many times, it was originally a Tuners village and then KY re-named it Tuneing world And I've not been around much lately but it seems he's re-named it back to villaged from what everyone else is saying. However I can't see any mention of tuning world or village on the map screen which leads me to believe that it's a tune shop or a set of shopes a: in each of the car areas ie British cars, German cars ect, or b: a set shop for each dealership like in GT1 and GT2.

I couldn't stand having to go to each specific dealership to get the parts for the car. I would rather have the tuning sections broken up by the region the car is produced in than by manufacturer. It makes things alot easier IMO.

You mean like the manufacturers were split up in GT2? No thanks, the japanese sector would be packed =P.

err .. uhm .. yeah .. stupid 0 key .. fixed

What do you know? More news from CobraGT. I think GT4 is perhaps trying to come up with a deal that us racers live in our own world. We get this big GT Resort deal, "towns" of cars, a tuning village, and all the halls and stuff. If PD's trying to come up with a big community for all of us GT gamers play and frolic around, it seems to be working pretty good.

Not to bring up another question from another thread, but do you think the inclusion of NOS is a way to draw more car fans into GT, especially those in pop-culture culture today (the tuners and such)?

well, I would say it might be a way to draw in other people...but hopefully nitrous will be a *small* part of gt4, so I'm guessing it won't be the deciding factor for people buying a game (and wouldn't they be more inclined to buy NFSU2?). I am looking forward to the tuning village concept though...

Nitrous will draw some NFSU players in, they will complain the game is to hard and that will be that :dunce:
I have my doubts about somethings PD put in the game. Its like B-Spec, I thought, what the hell are they doing? Ive read more, seen more and I like the idea now. I hope the same happens with the way the use Nitrous

it will be fun if they put all tuner companies in one place
and you actually have to search around for parts which gives you the best performance or best power curve
so different cars have to use different combination of parts to get best result
haha ... so you can't full tune your car in 2 mins
and that will be real tuning simulator

I agree with that. Don't think it would be so but we can always hope.

Same here. It would be great to have alternatives to the blink full-tune like in GT2 (The other debatable stuff there was, 'What Flywheel?', and 'Invest in TSC?'. It would be great to have a non-linear process, with lots of different parts that have differing attributes. How's about parts that have weight? 💡
