Is that your work kideng? If so, excellent job. 👍

If you don't mind, I would like to post a link to the site over in my Weekly Race Series Forum.
I think that it would be a valuable source of information for the racers there. Plus, I'm sure that many of the racers there would be more than willing to input there settings used in each race into your data base.

EDIT: How about getting some of the drifters to post up there drift settings in there as well? Could possibly make this thread a sticky over in the Drifting Forum.

Thanks,

Boom

By all means. I was gonna point the hostname to the new IP address. So the temporary URL will continue to work anyway. It just looks better with a hostname. BTW, I noticed that your account hasn't been activated yet. The server should had sent you an email with the activation link. Let me know if there's a problem.

Ok, just activated my new account and there seems to be no issues.
I will go ahead and post this up over in the Weekly Race Forum, and I will get one over in the drifting forum as well.

Excellent work! 👍

How easy is it for you to add other detailed information about the car? Such as Max HP after oil change or any other bit's of information that might be useful?

I mention this as we in the Weekly sometimes look for certain characteristics of a vehicle and if there was an easy reference, which you have created, it would be even more useful.

P.S. - I just "stickied" this thread here in this forum as well. I think that this will be a wonderful tool for everyone.

P.S.S - Are you planning on creating a database like this for GT4 when it comes out?

Adding it to the db wouldn't be a problem at all. Gathering the data would be slightly more troublesome. The thing with oil change is that the increase is by a percentage. So if you have a turbo 4 in the car, the increase would be more than if you don't have any mods in the car. In addition, prize cars are broken in to begin with and bought cars are not.

The gathering of the data would be the easy thing because all that participate in the weekly races would have that info on a specific car. So you can actually tap the racers there for the information. Works both ways so that all you would have to do is input the data that the racers found and then we all could use it for future reference. 👍

I was also wondering that when someone inputs settings for a car, could the track that the settings were used on be included in that?
That way someone could look up settings for an Audi S4 at Deep Forest.

Just a thought. And did you see my questions in my post above?

Sure, I can do that. I thought about it at first and originally decided against it because it would be like copying gtvault. But if there is indeed a need for it, I'll do that.
As for a GT4 version, that is the main reason why I'm building this now, two years after GT3 came out. So that the structure and such (with minimal changes needed, I hope) is ready when GT4 is out.

To me, it seems like more settings wanted. hehe no hard feelings........:) I've got some settings on my Imprezas....Tarmac settings..... I've come a long way from tuning Imprezas and it's been great. I might stick some up there.

Yeah, more settings are needed, I just started. :P
Any setting you add would be cool. After I'm done with my 229 day 100%, I'm gonna start working on at least 1 setting for every car.

hey guys i am interesred in helping you guys tell me some cars that i should tune. right now i am tuning a spoon civic and a civic type r.For the spoon civic i got 12.643 for the 1/4 mile. Il ik your website it is very good.

I'll see what i can do as far as F1 cars (Poly 001) go's (if ya's like about medium fast setts) I reckon they are faster than the ones over at GTVault in any case

excellent work there kideng 👍 👍

I just checked out the site. Excellent work, kideng. It will be great help for everyone.

Just my 2 cents: maybe there could also be a place where tuners can input their Tire choice(s), their Turbo/NA choice for each car, and Stability installed (which stage Weight Reduction). That way, tuners won't have to write it into the comments area.

Just a thought, but great database as is.

I found an error the script.

Ligne: 37
Car: 3
Erreur: 'document.SettingSub.elements[...].value' a la valeur Null on n'est pas un objet.
Code: 0
Url: http://gt3db.gtexchange.com/settingadd.cfm?CarID=39

Sorry for the French but let me translate the Error
in document.SettingSub.elements the value is at None or it isn't specified.

Cuz of this I'm not able to register my EvoVI (TMK edition) settings. Sorry for the trouble kideng. :P

I have having similar issues...anyone know if this site is available somewhere else?

Not at the moment AFAIK.

People have tried to contact Kideng with no success, so, sadly, it appears that this valuable site is down for now.

That is unfortunate. That site information is invaluable. I had offered to provide another mirror of that information at my web provider, many months ago.

I never heard back.

Hopefully something will re-surface soon.

I am still in the quest for my 100% on GT3 before GT4 comes out. (Currently at 60%).

I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING, including the all-gold licence tests, etc., and I am at 98.4%

Will completing the time trials in arcade mode bring me up to 100.0%? Somebody please let me know!

Not to be brusque dear chap, but this, as you might expect, is hardly the right topic to post such a request in :D.

Also, it is hardly a new question - a quick search would probably bring you all the answers you could desire (and more :)).

In more direct answer, yes, you need to do the Time Trials and all the Arcade Races and all the Licences and all the Endurance Races etc etc.

It's not necessarily fun (it took me six months to get around to doing TT10 for example) but if you want to see 100% then thems the breaks ... :(.
