what are you trying to tune the car for anyway (drift, grip, etc...) check scaff's tuning guides fo advice. very top of the page.

How do you tune a mazda rx 7 spirit r typea (fd) '02?(not good at tuning dont know how:grumpy: )
Read Scaff's guides for starters. These are required reading if you don't know how to tune yet.

Now after reading the guides, buy all the goodies but don't change anything until you've taken it for a spin. I would start by lowering the car a bit and softening the shocks a little but that's just me. Take the car around the track, analyze the area(s) that need improvement, consult the guides again, tweak something, road test it again. It's an iterative process and takes a fair bit of time.

Idid it is great I had it all set for elcapiton and I exicted and it lost all my settings.:banghead: Here are the end resultes every thing except racing chip racing super soft tires.

stablizers 3/3
driving aids asm (understeer) 5

please give advise

The best advise has already been given, my friend.

Study and practice - there are no shortcuts to tuning as, altho' general principles apply, it is an individual art i.e. what works for one will not work for another.

Just to give you an idea of the 'investment' you may need, I've been tuning cars within the GT series since it started and taught myself suspension mechanics and automotive physics as I went - quite a number of years now.

That has brought me to the stage where a couple of racing driver friends are comfortable with the idea of my advising them how to set their real cars up ... but ... there are still times within GT when I cannot get the result I want no matter how hard I try :(.

Some additional pointers are that you are wasting your time attempting to tune a car with the ASM/TCS on - they'll just artificially drown the changes you make. Also, dial a car in on S rather than R tyres; the latter have so much grip that, again, they will mask what's going on.

When you said 'everything' in your earlier post, did you mean horsepower too?

I only ask because the RX7's are responsive cars and if you're running a production chassis at nearly max HP that might explain your problems with oversteer.

I'd still advise junking the ASM regardless. If you have skyhigh HP then some TCS is forgiveable if you don't have a DFP.

"DFP" is the Driving Force Pro racing wheel and pedal set that was custom made for use with GT4. With it you can achieve a much finer degree of control than with the DS2. It doesn't necessarily make you faster but it makes the game a darned sight more realistic.
