tuning cars?

Hey all, i just got GT5 prologue and can't find where to modify or tune cars, can i? or do i just have to buy the tuned ones? and can i say use a tuned cappachino to do the cappachino races?

Sorry if it sounds dumb but im only new to it

You'll get quick tuning when you finish the 'A-Class' races.
You can change gears, suspension,weight and power there.

And no, you cannot use the tuned cars in the time trials
