I never had Bob get anywhere near my times on my first lap EVER. I would be ashamed and embarrassed if that happened.

Yo fool!!! Read my post again

I drive with a DPF... im hopeless with a d-pad and buttons, with analog stick im a bit better. We're talking about a FORD GT around Trail Mountain, not an Impreza around Tsukuba. So my first lap without setup and downforce etc is going to be unknown, so you take it moderatly easy, if you can't beat your first lap with your final setup lap my say 6-7 seconds, then i would be embarrassed and ashamed! However, if you can't get Bob to make the last corner in any car on Push Hard at Tsukuba, then you have to learn how to setup a car properly... hence why i wrote all that up of how to do it~ If you can learn about how the car is performing from watching it instead of driving it, you can work out where the setup needs improvement to make the corner. I have even improved my own settings from watching these 'B-Spec test runs' by up to 3 seconds on some tracks, and over 15 seconds in nearly every car at Nurburgring.

You don't have to use my method, but it works 110%, and also gives you confidence that your B-Spec driver can take over in any car on any track and still do you proud. 👍

However, if you can't get Bob to make the last corner in any car on Push Hard at Tsukuba, then you have to learn how to setup a car properly...

I disagree - maybe you would need to learn how to set up a car for Bob/Billy, this doesn't necessarily mean properly. I drive nothing like our B-spec friend, what works for me won't always work for him.

Hey calm down Der Meister, name calling is very childish and I'm far from being a child so talk to me like a man.

My post was simply my opinion I simply expressed how I felt about B-spec Bob.

You said, "so your first time should be slow... this is why Billy/Bob gets fairly reasonable times compared to your first effort".

My response was me expressing my feelings about Bob and my first lap time, in no way was my response aimed at how you should feel.
I'm sorry if I miss read what you stated here but I took it as your B-spec was driving close to your first lap time.

So don't get bent out of shape because I disagree, it's a public forum.

About the Spec C it was an example of Billy Bob's driving a stock car that's all. So if Bob can't even drive a stock car around a slow track what makes me think he will do better in a GT. I've seen to many times where Bob screws up.

If B-spec tuning works for you just roll with it. No need to kick off if people disagree...anyway the proof will be in the results! :D

(I do not use B-spec tuning but I do watch my own replays :p ).

I like your idea on setting up the car this way. almost like a crew chef:tup: I will try it out next week.

Thanks man, rep going to you ;)

That's basically the exact idea i was going for... i came across this method on what i call my "B-Spec" card. I was trying to complete as much of the game as possible on B-Spec mode, and as you all know, "Bob" isn't the worlds greatest driver, and when you've limited yourself to having no 'Cita De Aria' easy money, it can be rather challenging to win in B-Spec, especially some of the Tsukuba races. That track alone is one of the reasons i had to come up with a new way of setting Bob's car up... and this works 110%. I recommend everyone to give it a try, some cars are more difficult and time consuming than others, and you may get frustrated, throw controllers around the room thinking you've done everything possible... but something i have learnt using this method is that things aren't always as they seem in GT... some of the oddest settings that would never work in reality hit the bullseye in GT :sly:

Edit: Sorry Sonzilla... i wasn't actually angry, i was kinda laughing at you cause i assumed you didn't read my post properly?! Btw, nice sig, maybe that's half the reason you didn't understand, haha, a DPF aye? hmmm, buggers me where it is if i use it all the time!

Got my tune in last night. Up until the last minute I didnt know which one of my two tuner settings I should send. An amazingly stable and fun NA stage 3 with 1 notch of TCS or a very nimble NA stage 2 with no AIDS that was only 1.5 seconds slower! :s

Cant wait to see what people have done with this car at Trial Mountain.

Should be interesting, it sounds like we've got a fairly wide range of setups this week.

A note for the judges is in order therefore - I haven't missed anything off my list of parts! I've deliberately gone for very little in the way of power upgrades, I found the car more fun to drive the way it is ;)

Then start setting it up, now don't drive it yourself, this is VERY IMPORTANT!!! What you do is get your B-Spec guy to drive, give him 3 laps on Normal Pace at x3 viewing speed, now watch his 4th lap. Check to see if the ride looks smooth, check top speeds, mid corner speeds, sector times etc.
I do this too at the first tuning competition, but decide to drive my self because B-spec don't give me a clue at how the car react under full power or full braking. Besides, B-Spec has very different driving habit, compare to me using my tuning, push hard mode, it is too scared in corner especially when the car is very stiff, use TCS all the time and brake too perfect.

👍 for making it stable, I can't wait to see too :).

I finally got to enter a competition! That said, I wish it had been a different car. I never drove the GT before, and I found it to be kinda weird; that was in stock form.

Anyway, I tried a modest build-up to get myself started. Okay...the car acts really weird. Anyway, I had a devilishly good black NSX-R setup I use on the 'Ring, so I figured some of the general MR principles would apply. Some of them did, kinda-sorta. Got my laps down from 1'34.817 to 1'26.476. I don't drive Trial Mountain much either, and there were some spots that I didn't know the correct line for, like the left-right combo before the second tunnel.

Anyway, I sent my settings in. I'm not one of those 'full-power, floor-it-everywhere, hope you don't crash' kind of drivers/tuners, so I was a little conservative with the power...well, as conservative as you can be with a car that makes 558hp bone stock. I tried seeing what I could do to make it 'fun,' but I know I still didn't like the car much. :nervous: Hope someone does.

I'd still take my NSX anyday...and I don't really even like the NSX in 'real life.'lol

im glad to see those sort of times, at least i know i have a quick enough car :)

My best so far is a 1:23.988 with the setting i've produced for this week, only 0.008 slower than my all time FORD GT record :dopey: 👍

👍 for making it stable, I can't wait to see too :).

Well you wont see it because I sent the more volatile one in. Less stable and more driver control needed but it got me into the 1.23's with no TCS. My other setup was in the 1.21's but I didnt want to be marked down for TCS use.

Yeah, I'll be you're glad all right.haha FYI, my car is not fully tuned. I kept the power pretty conservative so that I didn't have to use too much TCS.
