since 99% of my cars can be without tuning.. I use this mode very often.. but I agree that it need's a tweak a bit.. and making all cars standard for this particular mode would be very great feature, since this type of rooms are popular but due to many tuning limitations and time consuming process people do not want to drive that mode..

Damn. That's really really dumb. They should automatically revert your car back to stock form, and they should list your cars at stock PP when a room is using this mode.

At the very least they should filter your car list by what qualifies.

What a lazy way to implement this feature... :(

You were warned when you chose to perform these upgrades that they cannot be undone.

You could try sorting by make, model, horsepower, date acquired, order driven, number of times switched. . .any of those will organize your garage for you.

That's missing the point: in a garage of many cars (I think I'm hovering around 1100), it's very hard to find cars that qualify for "stock" races. You can colour-code, you could remember which are which (I tend to remember which cars are suited for which purposes once I am only viewing one particular manufacturer), or you could use the Favourites for only stock cars. But there's no easy way for the user to organize their garage how they want, nor filter for the "stock" limitations. Which we know PD is capable of implementing, since your choices are limited to eligible cars only when entering the garage from a race's info screen.

FM4 allows a user to create folders in their garage, and put whatever cars they want in it. It lets me organize my garage specifically how I want, and it'd be very handy if we could create extra tabs in GT5 (similar to the Favourites one) to keep our garages more efficiently ordered, especially taking into account GT5's Pokemon-style gotta-catch-em-all UCD. It'd certainly see plenty of use from me 👍

A good addition to that is what I also do to some cars that I know I might use as stock- On the settings tab, I simply type in STOCK for the description. It helps me keep my tuned from not tuned in 2 clicks. I find it helpful.

How can you organize your garage when the order is essentially random?

All you can do is color code your cars, or use the favorites list, which people have probably used for other things already.

Yes I use Black with gold wheels for fully tweaked cars, Yellow with green wheels for cars lacking some of the tuning the black ones have and Red for slightly tuned cars. Blue is reserved for cars bought to ensure I have all the available garage and if I use one I repaint it to the correct colours.

Green with Gold wheels is reserved for favourite tuned cars, and I've started using white, with black bonnet if available, with white wheels for cars tuned to 500pp.

Next I'll repaint 400pp tuned cars, maybe to purple with black wheels.

Haven't used this mode yet, but it sounds cool. I generally have 2 copies of the cars I use a lot. I have one that has just bolt-on parts that can all be removed, and then I use the C tab in the tuning sheets for stock, A and B are usually tuned one for higher speed and one for tighter corners. With my second copy of a car I will add the weight reduction and 3 stage engine upgrades that are irreversible. It would be nice if there were more options to sort your garage, but since there are not I just use this little system to navigate through my cars

is adjusting your brake balance classed a tuning?
if it is and you put it back to 5/5 will it allow you back on the track?

cheers

Brake balance isn't classed as tunning, you can set them to watever level you want and it will let you in a tunning prohibited room. You can change them in your tunning sheets aswell so you dont have to change them every race.

Engine and weight reduction tuning can't be undone, so no you can't revert the car back to it's original state. You'll have to buy another car.

not true. WE were given coupons, 10 oil change, 10 chassis rebuild, etc. and 5 Car refresh coupons. These coupons will reset your car to exactly as it was. It's a shame there's only 5 though.

I suppose if the car's under 1mil credits, you could clone gift the car to your other account, and get it back the next day.

Also, the chassic reinforcement will get you rejected too

I don't know if it has been fixed, but I remember when this feature was first introduced, I could not enter tuning restricted rooms even with a 0/0/0 car that never had any tuning or modification done to it. I had to click through each tuning section that could be altered and hit "reset to default", even though the settings were already at default. Then, it would allow me to enter.

I haven't tried to enter a tuning restricted room in a bit, but hopefully that was patched.

I remember the last time I entered one of these, it was a stock NASCAR race, and I had tried to use a stock sheet with the other tweaked sheets, but it wouldn't let me join until all three sheets were factory condicion.

They do have restore tickets...
