Hi guys

Ive been trying to tune my car with my own thoughts. Honestly, i tune my car based on someone explanation, but its not clear enough.
So do u guys willing to explain to me, ex,
Front ride height : if its (+) the car has more blablabla, yeah somethin like that :) . I think anyone who starts tuning by ourself its gonna useful. Cheers

HONESTLY SPEAKING depends on many factors
1st thing I do, look gearbox circuit calculate higher speed and lower speed straight curve
2nd test car without modifications and with all off Driving Options
3rd will each person do his tune
4th but usually do with suspension and brake torque acceleration.

Honestly, you should read CSLACR's tuning thoery in his garage, my tuning guide on post #2 of my garage and anything that Praiano or Adrenalie post on the subject of tuning.

Scaff's guide was for GT4 and really behind what's happening in GT5. I don't know why people keep directing new people to it?

I agree.
If anything Hami, you should create a new thread, that combines your, CSL and Praiano's tuning process, and ask the mods to sticky that, and remove scaffs outdated guide. No disrespect to scaff, it's simply based on how much the game has changed, and continues to change through updates.

I'd like to do this on the 'Tuning Guide' page of AdrenaTune if you 3 are interested?

Has the Clueless group written a guide as well. If so, they should be included. Well any of the active garages should be listed if they have put a stake in the ground on how to tune? As we have all discussed, different tunes fit for different people.

Nah, we don't have a guide as such. Just help with any questions that people may have. :dopey:

Tend to be more of a shade tree mechanic who just tries things until I get the performance I want from a car. I've borrowed ideas from others such as Praiano, CSLACR, Motor City Hami and others that have gotten incorporated into how I do my initial rough tunes. After the initial setup though it tends to be a lot of trial and error where I'll make a small change to one or two settings, run a few laps then review. Can become a long process, especially for cars that end up having settings quite different than my initial rough test settings.

With the above being said I think a GT5 specific tuning guide that included the theories and ideas of the various active tuners here would be a very good thing. Especially considering how dated scaff's guide is now. It made a decent introduction but so much has changed over the years, plus it doesn't have the breadth of possible ideas that a community built guide would have.

Thank you for the response guys

Ive been try to tune the car by myself and adapt from hami explanation and some of praianos tuning, but its really hard to put in the car. Im struggling to tuning the sileighty, its been a 7days , im a bit stressed out :P , and about the explanation on hami's thread ill read one more time.

Keep in mind that every car has a different limit or potential. I've never tried to tune a Sleighty, but I've tuned hundreds of other cars and I can tell you from experience and I'm sure most tuners would agree, you can't get all cars to handle the same way or even the best way for you. They each have varying levels of inherent overall grip for a given tire that can only be partially affected by the tools available in the game. Your job as a tune is to find the limit of that particular car and some balance in handling so the car can reach it's own potential with you behind the wheel, recongizing that the potential of an NSX Type R and many other cars for example, will likely have far more potential than a Sleighty.
