Hey people,I heard that it is possible to tune the 458 to over 800bhp...is this true? because the highest I can get to is 695hp...and thats with everything upgraded...the engine is fine and so is the body and oil....any help?

How many miles has your car done, there is a period of running in whereby a 0.0 mile new car might have 840bhp (fully tuned and change of oil) but once it's done between 100/250/500 miles the engine (after an oil change) will be developing 860bhp (this is the case with the R35gtr V spec).

What people say they have got in terms of power isn't always to be believed, there are threads on this site that detail max power for the more popular cars, these will give you a good idea if you are there or thereabouts at the maximum available power.

If, like in this thread, most people are getting between 695-723bhp for the car, it is likely this is going to be the correct power for it fully modded, whereas claims of 800bhp+ are likely to be not true. There may be very small differences in power between cars, that can be explained, but very large differences without relevant evidence or proof are highly unlikely.

Yeah I have mine at 738 i think. However I found that when I incresed it from 650 to 728bhp the car turned into a pig. Sure it is faster in a straight line but it is very difficult to drive. It used to be my fave car to drive but there is now just too much power so im going to remove some of the parts, make it fun again :) Anyone else find this with some of their cars... just too much power ruining them?
