any news on what kinda tuning will be available? ive done a search and cant find much info..

reason being, i would like to combine the awesome play of GT with the tuning of some japanese titles (ie. bodykits would be cool)... and i reckon being able to fully tune ur car would be awesome (choose what turbo u want etc. so u can compare lag with big boost kinda stuff - including brand too)
 
No news on tuning for GT4 yet. I think we will have to wait until the game comes out to see what that part of the game is like.
 
Nothing major has been announced yet, but as the game comes near to its release thats when you should starting looking for these types of things so really give it another 2+ months for this info, or until the japanese release which I belive is this month... correct me if im wrong...
 
It has been said that there will be roughly twice as many parts to tune and change the settings of. I can't say where it was said because it was a long time ago.
 
Yea I heard the same thing, I belive I heard it on IGN but I could be wrong, I think KY did mention haveing visual upgrades but he wasnt sure if it wil make it in and most likely he proably just ment the racing mods,, not actually changing each part (front bumper, back bumper, side skirts, Spoilers etc..)....

PS... Its already been 1yr since ive signed up with GTP :D
 
Japanese release is this month? might be time to head to my game store (i live in taiwan, so most games i get are Japanese release instead of english)

I must admit that car is, ricey.

I mean I wouldn't mind a few different tuning company's, just for engine, drivetrain, suspension etc for different performance. One thing i've always wondered why they have never included brand tyre choices? I mean how many people buy nismo tyres?
 
No one, Nismo buy their tyres from a tyre manufacturer.
 
that celica looks pretty nice... but if they just took out the stickers and that UGLY spoiler and replaced it with a nicer one then it would look good, but oh well i'll race it either way :lol:
 
nah the vinyls look good, but your right about the spoiler, and the Evo is as [cheesy/ugly/ricey] (whatever term you use) as ever, although fun as hell to drive...
 
The EVO isnt ricey... well to me anyways... The evo looks way better than that celica... just the color of the evo is whats ugly..

I can't belive your calling a Evo ricey let alone ugly and cheesy, evos are beautiful, your ugly and cheesy. :irked:

:lol: i agree, I like the way the Evo is. I mean it just wouldnt be a Lancer Evolution without the bigwing and agressive apperance.

that Trial celica aint rice. Trial is one of the most reputable performance AND body kit manufacturers in Japan although not as popular as Greddy and HKS over here. i think they are most well known for their turbo stuff here in the US of A.

Yea the car is real I remember seeing it on one of the "making of GT4" videos, It looked real nice in the video, but that black one looks real nice, but yea like I said the wind deff. has got to go and replaces with a nicer one, but that celica isnt ricey seeing how it was put together nicely.........
 
The Trial Celica drives really good for a FF car. It lights up 2nd gear nice which gives good oversteer on some tight turns. It would probably take out the Evo MR...havent compared the two yet. I do know it will wax the Spoon Civic though.

When you drive it against the AI, they put you up against the standard Japanese 280's, it manages to beat them pretty easily. Mind you, so does the spoon civic.
I just don't like the vinyls, the huge rear wing and the stupid clear tail lights.

Heh, how about a Spoon Civic vs Trial Celica competition.

I meant when comparing track times in Tsukuba. I think I ran a 1:04:1XX the Spoon Civic was a couple tenths off. I'm not into cars w/ vinyls either but I enjoy driving the car once in a while. Just switch to 1st person mode and don't watch the replay...that's what I do :)

Edit: something weird I just noticed...when I race w/ the Spoon Civic the make me race against other Spoon Civics & TRD Celicas when I race w/ the Trial Celica they make me against the 280's...not the same w/ you?
 
BTW, I compared the Evo MR w/ it and it runs very similiar times, 1:04's...mind you I don't push them that hard, just enough to get an idea of how fast they are.

Yeah, that's what I get as well. That's just PD and their wacky 'what you drive against' policy.

I'm sure the trial Celica is a good car, i'd just rather have that black version someone posted. As for the EVO MR, after that licence test i've come to hate it. It just understeers so much.
