Hey ppl.

I dont know if this is correct, but im sure i read somewhere about someone adjusting turbo boost to control the performance of the car (less boost less lag etc).

If this is true, then where the hell do you change it because I cant for the life of me find anythign to change it. Can you only change it with the higher stage turbos like you can only change settings on better suspension/gears etc.

Please help as it would be nice to adjust the boost on some of my cars if i could.

cheers

fair enuf then. cheers anyway

dont you think it would be cool to put into the next GT.

its quite handy because you could either opt for a lot of boost which would give great speed/acceleration but you would have a lot of lag which could put you at a disadvantage (especially on a twisty track with a need for good acceleration)

or you could go for low boost and so not as much power but much faster pickup and so better on twisty tracks.

just an idea but it would be quite cool. What does everyone else think?

On The first GT you could change turbo pressure I think but it was always at max anyway. On sega gt it made allot of difference, I always set it to maximum for the drag races.

yea and like u have to fix turbo lag problems.... and if u crank up psi u can break things like piston rings and gear box's n stuff ;)

also ! u could have nos ! thats would b very gud...

and body kits for cars would be gud u know like side skirts spoilers bumbers stuff like that

an inside view through the window like u can c hands on steering wheel...

just a few thoughts... ;)

I think that you do this by switching between the various stages of turbo upgrade. However, the lag issues with the stage 4 turbo can often be overcome by choosing different gearing.

haha a turbo timer just keeps the engine on after the keys are taken out so that the turbo can spin down safely

What the HELL are you doing, dragging this 33-month old thread back to life?

!

Your post had nothing to do with the topic of the thread at hand, and you were responding to the words of a banned member, posted nearly 3 YEARS ago...

You're right - it wouldn't be worth a new thread. But was it worth the post at all?

dynotuner is right. less lag means smaller turbo. so instead of installing a stg4 turbo and having a little powerband up top, install a stg1 or 2 turbo and have a driveable car. unless something is REALLY torquey, i won't go over stg2 if i want to race it

surok
so, if i start a new thread , ill get told to search.

That's how I feel too. I'm relatively new and I'm afraid to get flamed by doing either one of those things...

So, how does this forum work in relation to new/old threads??

Certainly search for a thread or idea that might possibly have been covered. If you have a question that is relevant or thougth that relates to the thread, resurrect it.

There are acceptable and legitimate reasons to bring an old thread to life. With a little fore thought, you can figure it out.

As long as you keep your head about you and know why you chose to resurrect it, flaming will not happen.

Are you going to change your avatar anytime soon?

How long have you had that thing again? Since 2k2 at least.

Why would he change it? It's cool.

I, for one, don't look at names all the time. If people change their avatars I get confused.
