Has anyone tried a Turbo? Are they really better than normal aspiration? I mean, they can't be that much better. Does the price justify the Turbo? I mean, you also get the bragging rights of saying, "My razor is Turbo!" Has anyone ever used a Gillete Mach 3 Turbo?

Do what I do; just grow a fricken' beard.
I do have a goatee, but I don't want a full, all out beard. I just don't like that look. I need a razor to clean up around the edges a bit. Since everyone in my house steals my razors, I'm thinking of buying a Turbo.

I have used it, and my wife has stolen it.

Honestly it did not do a better job than my Gillette Sensor Excel. The blades are twice as expensive ($24 for 8 blades), and you've got to replace the batteries.

I seriously think that this was developed for women. Introduce it for men, give it a Unique feature, let women see it and use it. Then in a year introduce a new molded edition for women. It'd bea an absolute sell-out.

You know what the sonic feature is? It vibrates.

Yes, vibrates. ;)

Nothing more than that.

Forget using atmorazors. Forget using turborazors. What you want is GRIP. Power is nothing without control after all.

I find the Mach 3 & Wilkinson sword razors blunt after about 2-3 shaves. I prefer to use disposable as they seem to last longer. If I get time I also like to have a cut throat razor shave at my local barbers. That's the closest shave you can get.

Those barber shop razors are damn cool... but I'd get real nervous real quickly using one of those around my neck and under my chin.

I've got the Mach 3 ultra... Great razor but it clogs up very easily. As close as the shave is, it's really anoying to stop and clean it out every other stroke when I shave my head.

I used to use the Mach 3, but I found it too drying, so I switched to Sensor Excel, I find it works just as well, without the drying, and it's cheaper too!

I hate all razors like that, I prefer my electric. I got that one that cleans itself and vibrates really really fast. Gives me a fairly close shave although it could be better I guess.

I use the Gillette Mach 3 and it is the razor that has shaved me the closest. However, since you have a goatee, as I do, it's not that great of a razor.
Since the blade area is so large, I find it difficult to shave real close to my beard and keep it neat.
So in light of that, I still use my Schick FX. It's dual blade, but a very precise blade that can easily navigate around my beard and keep the edges neat.

Not a very efficient way of shaving having to use 2 different razors. Nor is it cost effective as blades for either razor are not cheap.

If I ever decide to get rid of my goatee, then the Mach 3 will definately be an excellent razor.

I just shave stubble at this point in my life, so I just use whatever the parents have lying around, which normally happens to be a Mach 3. I find it does a good job compared to the old Sensor Excels we had a while ago. But the Turbo has to be a rip off; vibrating can't make that big of a difference in the field of shaving.

Unless you sit there with it resting on your cheek and actually wait for it to...er...stimulate.

Am I the only one who likes the cheapie, generic 2-blade razors that come in packs of 24? I've tried the Mach 3 and other 3-4 blade razors, and none of them seem to work any better than a Bic 2-blade (single blades are lousy though, and too easy to cut yourself on). Plus, if you break it or the blade gets dull, you just toss it and get a new one. :D

Before I had to shave daily I used disposable razors, but if I used one now, I'd regrow by noon.

i use a mach 3 turbo. not the M3 one though. vibrating razors...are they for the pubic area? Like Der Alta said, they'd better introduce female versions quick! lol.

anyway, the mach 3 and mach 3 turbo are the same exact razor, except the turbo has a lube strip. both are obviously compatible with each other's heads. the lube strip wears off after a bunch of shaves though. all it's good for is leaving a slick finish on your face, probably so you wont irritate your skin if you go over the same area for a few strokes.

this barbarshop over here called RJ&Mates does the big shillaly-razor shaves. i watched the guy give some dude a cool shave. he has those really long moustache curls. think dennis gage x4.

Never did like the concept of a "Razor" to the face so I use an electric razor. My problem is not shaving but how many times I'd have to shave in a day so I'm lazy and am letting it grow.

I use a Mach 3 Turbo, the Turbo makes the shave so much faster and smoother....;)
