So, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this glitch.
I have been doing some R&D with my gorgeous Jag XJ13, using the last Dream Car race as a test bed with regards to using it for the Nürburgring 24h later.
So after a few test laps I decided that the mid-range turbo upgrade would give me the extra little punch that was needed. So far, so good. So you can understand my complete horror when, after the first few corners, the delicious V12 is replaced, by a whistling turbo, and NOTHING ELSE!!!! No engine note, nothing!!! Just a turbocharged nothing!!!!!
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon, and on what other cars!!!!! ? ? ?

It happened to the Zonda R when the game was released, but that has been fixed. don't know of any other cars that do it.

Did you pause the game during/before the countdown at the beginning? It seemed to happen to me sometimes when I did that.

Lol, it happened to me twice.
first in a Ford GT Spec II race car, and again with a ZR-1 RM.
By coincidence (i'm assuming), both times were at Monza, dream car championship.

Restarted my PS3, and my amp, etc., and it worked fine again.
Both were just after upgrades to the cars.

All was ok after the restart.
(but i tried almost everything to "fix" the problem without re-setting first).

I had to do the same also. Uninstalled the turbo, restarted game, et voila, v12 back.
Incidentally, I noticed that if I waited till the pre-race screen, then, on the settings screen, re-installed the turbo, the problem didn't arise. Yet if I leave the turbo in place when I exit and then enter another race, hey presto, I have a turbocharged electric Jag again!!!

I occasionally lose all auditory feedback from the tires (i.e. screeching) when swapping out exhaust in A Spec. Never had the turbo thing happen yet. A quick restart has always fixed my problem.

Perhaps its some sort sort of divine retribution for daring to put a turbo on such a car? :D

I KNOW, I KNOW!!!!! I actually had to have a bleach bath afterwards to make myself clean again!!!! Lol. It is sacrilege really, but the idea of using it in Nürb 24h is just too enticing and it doesn't have quite enough puff naturally aspirated :guilty:
I shall repent my sins tonight!!!

Last time this happened to me was right after I threw a party. After 15 minutes of fussing and cussing I turned round to realise I'd moved the rear speakers upstairs.
