Ever thought of swapping an SR20DET into the Sentra? Great hp stock, tons of tuning potential, and it's got the turbo. But that might not be favourable for a brand new car...

Otherwise, try some aftermarket stores in your area, you're bound to find something for the Sentra eventually. But even if after that you can't find a turbo, then there are many other good options available for increasing performance (new tires, cat back exhaust, cold air intake, etc.)

Isn't the Sentra FWD?

finding a Front wheel SR tranny is a pain in the neck since most ppl swap them into S13's which are rear wheel.. and not that many nissans came FWD with SR's so it's harder (and probably more expensive) to find

Why would you want to? The SR20 is nice and all..but the QR25 is a mean engine with some tuning....I mean, the SR20 is kind of played out IMO

I've heard of some Sentras swapping in some SR20s, so it it possible, but it needed a new drivetrain, and come to think of it, that would not be a good thing to do with a brand new car, especially an SE-R Spec-V, which is already an amazing car to begin with. I think it was suited to older Sentras too, it had something to do with the mounting clips requiring little or no modification to accomodate the new engine.

*edit* I checked srswap.com, and it does state that swapping an SR20 into a front drive car requires a lot of modification to the car.

A bit of a noob question here, but if you install a turbo, you should get a fuel pump and/or fuel injectors to increase fuel flow to the engine to account for the extra air in the engine, right?

infiniti g20 has an sr20.
i owned a '91 with 206,000 miles, and still ran strong as **** 5 speed too
so if the latest sentra motor doesnt put out more hp to the front wheels go with this swap.
id prefer a '02 g20 motor sr20, off course its not a det, but just get a turbo! and
tada! sr20det

The '91 SE-R had an N/A SR.

I'd recommend the engine from the Pulsar GTI-R. SR20DET, VVTI, AWD. It's an awesome engine, and should go into an SE-R pretty nicely. (IE, suit the car well, installation may be a bit of a hassle)
