Turn Ghost Completely Off

This may be a stupid question but is there a way to completely turn off the ghost replays during a run? It messes with me even if I have my ghost loaded or a faster ghost loaded.

there is a button you can assign to turn ghosts off, the default is directional button up. You can change it in the options under controllers.

Have the same problem, especially when just in front of me.
