Whenever I sit down for a session with GT5:P I find myself repeatly scanning through the options looking for a way to disable the HUD. It's very nice to have info about G-forces, and braking/gas, split times, track map, etc, but I'd like a way to turn all that stuff off. Or even better, selectively turn different elements on/off. PC driving games normally give these options.

Are they here in GT5:P and am I totally missing where to change this stuff?

That'd be a nice idea... GT4 had the option of "full, basic"... don't remember if you could turn everything off tho... I'd be incline to agree with that need tho... especiallyh since we now have a full working cockpit. "Full sim" mode :)

I've looked for this option too. Couldn't find it.

There is something you can do.
My TV supports different zoom modes.
Full (16:9), Normal (4:3), Zoom, Full Zoom, Movie Scale zoom.

If you have this option, try Zooming in during cockpit view. It's blocks out the HUD displays in Zoom mode and gives you closer view of the dash during in-car view.
This would be a workaround until they patch the game and allow us to selectively choose what we want to remove from the HUD display.

It's a nice trick. Gauges on the dash will be clearer.
